Elect James Sears!

Via email, from a resident of Toronto;

I want to make it clear that I am neither for or against Mr. Sears. I am undecided. I am morbidly intrigued by his campaign. It’s both grotesque and alluring, like a Pekingese dog.
Every month I am fortunate to receive a free copy of “Ward 32 News” at my doorstep, or as most of my neighbours have nicknamed it, “Crackpot News”. This month’s edition is online here
Here’s the interesting part–the paper has endorsed “James Sears” for Ward 32 Councillor in the upcoming October 27th municipal election. He supports the Rob Ford austerity agenda. Rob Ford is also running to save his seat as Mayor.
James Sears is AKA “Dimitri The Lover”, a notorious seduction guru that considers himself an anti-Metrosexual, anti-FemiMarxist. His opponent is incumbent “Mary-Margaret McMahon”, who rides a bicycle and believes in global warming and yoga. They are polar opposites. Mr. Sears has built an extremely offensive anti-Marxist web site in which he’s put an animation which allows visitors to “Spank Mary” with the assistance of the “Anti-Marxist hero” of their choice … Putin, Hitler, or Rob Ford … www.JamesSearsWard32.com.
Mr. Sears has advertised on the back cover of Ward 32 News for several months. His election site has incorporated the back covers of Ward 32 News throughout it. Click on August’s back cover which shows Mary-Margaret being exorcised by Mr. Sears or July’s back cover which shows Jewish developers running from Mr. Sears in fear of being impaled by spears. He’s even incorporated a quote from Mary-Margaret at the top of the web site which was taken totally out of context from an interview she gave, making it appear that she’s is afraid to face him in a debate for fear of losing (she basically stated that she was FRIGHTENED of being near him as opposed to feeling INSECURE about her abilities to debate him).
The normally quiet, non-adversarial Ward 32 citizenry has been ripped into 3 distinct camps … those Marxists & frightened soccer moms who think James Sears must be stopped at all costs; those Libertarians and elderly folk who think he’s the second coming of Christ; and the rest of us who think he’s nuts and worth entertainment value, and MAYBE a vote to send a message to the establishment. I haven’t seen this much excitement ever, in all my life in Toronto. Never. And the mainstream media is totally avoiding the story.
Anyway, I thought you guys would be interested!

And I am! From his website;

I have lived in Ward 32 for over a decade. I had been planning on entering politics when I turned 60, but a certain incident rapidly accelerated that timeframe. After Rob Ford said the word “pussy”, I witnessed Councillor Mary-Margaret McMahon either feign or actually experience a live on-air nervous breakdown. At that moment I felt that I had a duty to displace this weak, ineffectual, spineless bag of nerves.

Why not. He’ll fit right in.

Their Shouting Makes Them Clever

On WrongThought™, beer pong and the bewildering psychodramas of Toronto’s Proletarian Feminist Front:

What occurs to me about these delusional tools – besides their mental conformity, their vanity, and their belief that the campus belongs to them and is theirs to disrupt – is that their places could have been taken by students who don’t strive to silence facts and ideas, and who actually want to learn something. Perhaps even a skill that’s of value to others and will thereby earn them a living. There must be thousands of much smarter, more honest people – people who don’t imagine themselves as Maoist “revolutionaries” – who would eagerly use the opportunity that these obnoxious little parasites are squandering.

It’s Probably Nothing

Telegraph;

Eurozone strategy is in tatters after economic recovery ground to a halt across the region and France demanded a radical shift in policy, warning that austerity overkill is driving Europe into a depression.
Growth slumped to zero in the second quarter, with Germany contracting by 0.2pc and France once again stuck at zero. Italy is already in a triple-dip recession.
Yields on 10-year German Bunds fell below 1pc for the first time in history, beneath levels seen during the most extreme episodes of deflation in the 19th century.

Politics is a lifestyle choice:

Alison Redford travelled the globe when she was Alberta’s premier and so did her travel scout, forwarding photos of hotels and suites, sussing out suitable patios and restaurants and at least once advising on public toilets.

Michelle Tetreault went to such locales as China, India, Switzerland, London and Washington in the 20 months she held the position that International Relations Minister Cal Dallas said didn’t exist before Redford came to power.

Pity that Princess Redford was forced to resign before she could fully ensconce her personal fiefdom.

Y2Kyoto: The Manitoba Ice Cap

Another Earth Day success story;

It will take a handful of bulldozers and a few more weeks of warm weather, but City of Winnipeg staff are confident they can take a dent out of an 18-metre snowpile that has stubbornly refused to melt before winter threatens to once again overwhelm the city’s snow-dumping sites.

Great Moments In Socialism

Utopia;

“It’s a scandal, to kill someone inside a hospital. It’s complete social deterioration,” said Jose Manuel Olivares, an oncology resident at the University Hospital of Caracas, where Edinson Balsa was slain in June along with his brother, who was waiting in the hallway. “It was never perfect, but they used to respect some boundaries.”
Physicians say men now regularly enter emergency rooms waving guns to compel doctors to work miracles on injured companions or provide scarce medicine. In some cases, they go further.

Just needs more tweaking, I guess.
