The who?

Yep, al-Qaeda is on the run, alright, running through O’s mind.

There is a reason that no one had heard of such a group until a nanosecond ago, when the “Khorosan Group” suddenly went from anonymity to the “imminent threat” that became the rationale for an emergency air war there was supposedly no time to ask Congress to authorize.
You haven’t heard of the Khorosan Group because there isn’t one. It is a name the administration came up with, calculating that Khorosan — the -Iranian-Afghan border region — had sufficient connection to jihadist lore that no one would call the president on it.

Fumbling in the near-darkness

At this point a slight left turn of the dimmer switch would finish him off:

An adamant Charlie Rose, on Thursday night, was astounded that there could be any opposition to the fight against climate change as he blurted: “Where is the resistance?! What stands in the way of something that clearly threatens the planet?”

Umm, science? Doing a bit of your own research?

From Scott Locklin’s “Never Trust Anyone Who Hasn’t Been Punched in the Face“:

Every great civilization reaches a point of prosperity where it is possible to live your entire life as a pacifist without any serious consequences. Many civilizations have come to the state of devolution represented by modern Berkeley folkways, from wife-swapping to vegetarianism. These ideas don’t come from a hardscrabble existence in contact with nature’s elemental forces; they are the inevitable consequence of being an effete urban twit removed from meaningful contact with reality.

DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, speaking to a women’s group in Wisconsin on September 3rd:

“Scott Walker has given women the back of his hand,” Wasserman Schultz told the audience while wagging her finger. “I know that is stark. I know that is direct. But that is reality.”

She added –

“What Republican Tea Party extremists like Scott Walker are doing, is they are grabbing us by the hair, and pulling us back.”

Football in Saskatchewan

If you’re a football fan in Saskatchewan, game day is awesome. You have not one, but two, radio stations providing multiple hours of pre and post game shows.
So, at about 3 or so…..bye, cause this, um, “horrible human being” is going to be cheering on the Green and White to try and kick some Eskie butt.
There may be beer involved.

Refillables overtake cigalikes

Via Wacked Out Canada, we learn that big tobacco is losing it’s share of the electronic nicotine delivery market.
Every time I post one of these types of posts, there are questions. In an attempt to kick the ball up-field, I’ll just redirect you to Phil Busardo’s TasteYourJuice.com site. It is a gold mine of information. Phil is also a prolific You Tuber. If you want to switch your nicotine delivery, you can do a lot worse than starting at his site and watching a few hours (days?) worth of reviews, tutorials and commentary.

BAMM!

Emeril Lagasse talks about what gov’t regulation does to entrapaneurs.

“The one thing that I can say is that I’m pretty connected to America — because I’m a good listener, and I think that’s what makes a great restaurateur, is that you’re a good listener,” he said. “I don’t have the solution. If I did, I could run for president. But I don’t have the solution. All I can tell you is that the balance of the economic cycle is out of whack.”
