    “U.S.-China climate deal a mirage”
“Birol said: “The additional contribution [of greenhouse gases] coming from the oil sands in Canada, compared to the same amount of oil from (the) Middle East or Brazil or central Asia, is completely peanuts. It is less than one day of CO2 emissions of China … it’s a couple of hours.”

  3. Yes, and exactly what can we do about it when they live in government supported reserves outside of which most of our laws are ignored by them? They block roads and rails and bridges, take over land anywhere they like and claim ownership. Anyone who wants to buy cheap contraband cigarets need only go to the nearest reserve.
How is it the responsibility of the non-Indian, taxpaying, law abiding Canadians to police how they live and treat their own people? What control do the highly paid Chiefs take responsibility for to protect their women and children from a life of booze and drugs? What control/responsibility do the Chiefs take regarding his tribe to respect their property and all other commodities given them by our governments? Chiefs have more responsibility than showing up at ceremonies with a head load of feathers.
No government has the guts to take this mess over, stop the reserve system and apply the laws all Canadians obey and are penalized for breaking.
