The dumbest generation of CEO’s in history tried to appease the crocodiles:

In a rare display of corporate sanity, Suncor Energy has abruptly cut funding to a climate activist charity peddling “resilience” projects across Indigenous communities. The decision marks a welcome shift away from the company’s years-long flirtation with the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) mob.

Suncor had pledged $500,000 to The Resilience Institute, a climate group focused on adapting communities to so-called “climate risks.”

But instead of handing over the cash and patting itself on the back for more hollow virtue signalling, Suncor pulled the plug — quietly, firmly, and without apology.

Western Canada Secession: Why Does the West stay in Canada?

Alberta exported over $161B worth of products to the US in 2024.

Alberta and Ontario had $15.5B in two way trade in 2022

Saskatchewan exported $29B worth of products and commodities to the US in 2023

No clear data available for Saskatchewan trade numbers with Ontario, but suffice to say trade with the US exceeds trade within Canada.

British Columbia has 19 border crossings with the United States, Alberta has 6, Saskatchewan has 12, and Manitoba has 16. There is just 1 narrow 2 lane road through 1,000 miles of wilderness connecting all of Western Canada with Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic provinces, yet the East rules the lives of Western Canada?

Ontario and Quebec won’t buy oil from Western Canada, preferring to buy from the US, or Saudi Arabia. Even Russian oil is preferred to Canadian oil.

Ottawa will not allow Western Canada to export LNG to other countries, forcing Europe to rely on Russian LNG.

The Liberal government won’t even fight the 100% tariff on Canadian canola.

The only thing Eastern Canada wants from the West are tax dollars which they give to provinces dealing with insolvency.

So why do we stay? What advantage is it to stay part of a government that hobbles us at every level? It’s time Western Canada breaks free from the Stockholm Syndrome that has held us back for over a century. I don’t know exactly what that will look like, but I do know it will be better than what we have now.

Special thanks to Quebec for paving the way forward.

Truly Apologetic or Just Deceitful Poseurs?

Raised as a Roman Catholic, confessions are a big part of being an adult for me. So I’m very open to forgiving someone for their past transgressions, just like I’d hope they would be willing to forgive me for mine.

In the past year, culminating with Trump’s recent historic victory, several prominent media figures have appeared to do a 180° turn and now tacitly “seem” to be not so anti-Trump and anti-conservative. Only time will tell how sincere they are. Here’s a partial list of those I’m highly skeptical of ever being sincerely sorry:

  • Bari Weiss – she owes Tulsi Gabbard a sincere public video apology
  • Ana Kasparian
  • Joe Scarborough & Mike Brzezinski – insincere swamp creatures who are not sorry for any of their bad behaviour
  • Piers Morgan – His condemnation of people against the Covid narrative was truly atrocious
  • Chris Cuomo – he owes Joe Rogan a sincere public video apology, and a whole lot of others too

RFK Jr endorses Trump: “RFK Jr. Endorses Donald Trump and Drops Out of the Presidential Race, Leaving a Scathing Attack on the Democrat Party.”

Great moments in “Where were you when?”… CNN cuts away

Unburdened by political savvy, Harris refused to meet with him.

Update: Trump rally, live from Arizona, and the Youtube feed is extremely low resolution… weird.

So here it is on Rumble.

Highly recommended: Matt Taibbi and Walter Kirn reaction to the endorsement.

Let That Sink In

Matt Taibbi;

Probably no one person or group in the Twitter Files was impacted in more different ways by new quasi-secret digital enforcement mechanisms than [Brandon] Straka and #WalkAway. Two U.S.-government-funded organizations, the Institute for Strategic Dialogue and the U.K.-based Global Disinformation Index, became sources for a USA Today claim that the group was among “73 U.S.-based hate groups” and “insurrectionists” who “had access to at least 54 means of raising money online.” Straka at the time had been charged in connection with his presence outside the January 6th Capitol riots, but not convicted. He was blocked by PayPal on March 20th, then Venmo, and ultimately Stripe, Patreon, Constant Contact, MailChimp, Facebook, Instagram and many other companies.

The idea of federally-funded organizations preventing a person from raising money for his own criminal defense against federal charges seemed astonishing. Equally remarkable was USA Today’s behavior. Americans are innocent until proven guilty. We also have an absolute Sixth Amendment right to counsel. But the paper targeted defendants’ efforts to “crowdfund their legal fees,” even claiming it was a kind of scandal that they’d been forced — by people like their own reporters! — to “spring from one fundraising tool to another, utilizing new sites, usernames and accounts” […]

Straka and #WalkAway in other words provide an early test case in the incredible range of state-aided or state-administered punishments that can be piled on someone before they’re convicted of a crime. He ended up sentenced to a class B misdemeanor, essentially for being at the Capitol on January 6th, receiving a 30-page sentencing recommendation. I polled defense lawyers last year and asked if they’d ever seen a 30-page sentencing recommendation for disorderly conduct before. “Fuck no,” laughed one, before quickly stopping and checking, “Wait, we’re not using names with this, right?”

Groomer Kingdom

Oh no! Disney has reportedly lost a billion dollars just on four of its recent “woke” movie flops…

You can bring movies to the public, but you cannot make them sell. Once an unassailable and uniting brand, Disney brand is now negatively associated with activism by a significant number of consumers. The company is now even reporting a decline in licensing revenue from products associated with Star Wars, Frozen, Toy Story and Mickey and Friends — iconic and once-unassailable corporate images.

The question is how long Disney (or its shareholders) can tolerate falling revenues tied to its “misalignment with the public.” It is a massive corporation and it can lose billions before facing any truly dire decisions. Yet even Disney’s CEO, Bob Iger, now appears to be seeking to “quiet things down” after years of culture wars.

Update: Another bad weekend at the box office.

Democrat No More

Tulsi Gabbard;

I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party that is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue & stoke anti-white racism, actively work to undermine our God-given freedoms, hostile to people of faith & spirituality, demonize the police & protect criminals at the expense of law-abiding Americans, believe in open borders, weaponize the national security state to go after political opponents, and above all, dragging us ever closer to nuclear war.

I believe in a government that is of, by, and for the people. Unfortunately, today’s Democratic Party does not. Instead, it stands for a government of, by, and for the powerful elite. I’m calling on my fellow common sense independent-minded Democrats to join me in leaving the Democratic Party. If you can no longer stomach the direction that so-called woke Democratic Party ideologues are taking our country, I invite you to join me.
