    1. I suppose they feel about the same way as I did when they supported the retention of the gun registry.

    2. But did the Canadian UAW endorse Liberal candidates?

Canadian auto workers, represented by the United Auto Workers (UAW), have expressed significant concerns regarding the entry of Chinese electric vehicles (EVs) into Canada. They argue that these vehicles are produced under conditions that do not meet the same labor and environmental standards as those in Canada. This situation creates unfair competition for Canadian manufacturers and workers.
Canadian UAW officials are advocating for strong measures to ensure that Canadian workers are not adversely affected by these developments. They emphasize the need for policies that uphold fair competition and protect jobs within the Canadian auto sector

      1. WHO DID THEY ENDORSE? Here’s why Liberals are willing to throw the UAW under the bus.

The United Automobile Workers (UAW) does not have a direct endorsement in Canada, as it primarily operates in the United States. However, Canadian unions have shown support for the Conservative Party under Pierre Poilievre, indicating a shift in labor endorsements in Canada. The UAW itself is not involved in Canadian political endorsements.

        1. This might be because the UAW is an American union. In Canada it is now the CAW. They are no longer the same organization AFAIK.

  1. One could present such facts to a Leftist in Canada or America. One could then show them the facts of how many people the Chinese Communist Government has killed. Wait several seconds and ask them, “So who is worse, the Chinese Communist leaders or Donald Trump?”

We all know what the answer would be. And a lie detector machine, hooked up to them would confirm that they believed what they were saying.

That is what we’re dealing with in 2026.

  2. In fairness, $3/hour is about 20RMB, which isn’t bad. Last I lived in China, 1 RMB worked like $1 in Canada. Lunch is 15, dinner is 30, rent was 1400… It’s just not a good argument.

The slave labour stuff is a different kettle of fish, but it’s not like liberals care.

    1. Cost of living is lower in the PRC, and they manipulate their currency to ensure it stays that way. If only Canada had a government that wasn’t interested in punishing it’s citizens with higher costs for everyday staples.

    1. Yeah, like that’s gonna work. Aren’t all the illegals or visa expired going to voluntarily self deport in Canada?

      I’ve got a bridge for sale….

  3. Have you noticed that since the current prime minister was installed, he is making friends with communist, socialist, islamist dicktators (sic) at a fast pace.
It seems to be true that the plebeians like it.
Of course the mass media cartel is ever so helpful.
It is notable that majority of the prime minster’s pronouncement about doing this and that for the glorious Canadian people, nothing is really happening in so far as making life better in this country.
The prime minister though makes other countries prosperous as per instructions from the WEF.

    Heh … imagine that.

  4. I used to have to report annually to top leadership at the auto manufacturer that I worked for whether we were utilizing any slave labor in our supply chains. We weren’t of course (to the best of my information), but I used to love pointing out that the commie pukes in China did.

  5. regarding the clunker program l NEVER hear any calculations on the total pollution generated in the manufacture of the replacement vehicles.
silence. crickets all ’round. ask again, still silent. they’re hiding something . . . . .

  6. China is missing out on the second biggest consumer market in the world. That is China. I suspect that if they catered to turn China into a huge consumer market instead of concentrating on exports they could work their way out of shithole status.

  7. Conflict cars?
    Blood busses?
    No blood for EV’s?

Seems as though ChiCom DUMPED EV’s need a snappy new catchphrase

  8. 289,000 EV’s? When Kearney first announced the trade agreement with China the number mentioned was 49,000 a year rising the 70,000 over a five year. Provided that the agricultural component of that trade agreement was extended. It hasn’t been.
