We’ll see if Jagmeet follows through on his pledge not to prop up Justin’s government any longer. If past experience is any guide, there’s no guarantee.

The Conservatives are going to reconvene the public accounts committee on Jan. 7 and use it to ship a motion of non-confidence to the House of Commons when the holiday break ends on Jan. 27.

The party believes MPs will be able to vote on the motion by the end of January. If the NDP joins the other parties and votes in favour of it, the motion would bring down the government and spark a federal election.

If fully implemented, as is the intent of federal Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault, this reduction could equate to a cut in oil production of three million barrels per day, with the goal of phasing out production entirely. No credible industry analyst would contend that such required emission reductions are feasible within this time frame without a dramatic reduction in production.

I then saw a photo of Elon Musk carrying his little son on his shoulders, part of “Take Your Child to Work Day” in April. I asked X’s Grok to draw an image of Justin Trudeau being taken to work on “someone’s” shoulders and it provided this rather apropos gem:

Finally, if anyone actually thinks that what Trudeau said about Harris is sincere, you need to go back and read about him firing Jody Wilson-Raybould because she refused to go along with his corruption. He DOES NOT respect women, let alone aboriginal ones!
