Guardian Columnist Wants Canada to be Destroyed, just like the UK

What a trainwreck of an opinion piece:

So when I say that Carney may have won, but Canada’s federal elections should make us all worried, that is no exaggeration. And even though he has developed a reputation as the guy you want around when there’s a crisis (Carney was the Bank of Canada’s governor from 2008 to 2013 and was praised for helping get Canada through the 2008 financial crisis, and became governor of the Bank of England from 2013 to 2020, where he was again pivotal in managing the economic fallout from Brexit), he still has the provincial governments to contend with on major issues such as healthcare and housing, as well as a volatile White House managing the affairs of our southern neighbours.

Carney said definitively last month that the old relationship Canada had with the United States is over, and that Canada would “need to dramatically reduce our reliance on the United States” and “pivot our trade relationships elsewhere”, doing “things previously thought impossible at speeds we haven’t seen in generations”.

This woke race grifter is billed as a “US columnist”.

Blacklock’s- No Embarrassment, Tam Told

Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Theresa Tam and dozens of other pandemic managers were required to sign a secret oath promising never to divulge information that “may result in embarrassment” for cabinet, Access To Information records show. “Quite a few” were required to sign the pledge, said a newly-released federal memo.

Cabinet to date has declined to have a public inquiry into pandemic mismanagement. The health department in a 2023 memo said it completed more than 20 internal audits that “revealed critical weaknesses and gaps” but would not release them.

National Post- Mark Carney’s election win already has economists worried

Canada was already headed into a recession. Then, on Tuesday, Fitch Ratings warned that Carney’s deficit plan could harm our credit rating

Fitch had already priced in federal government deficits for 2025 and 2026, amounting to 2.6 per cent and 2.4 per cent of Canada’s GDP, respectively. Factoring in the Carney platform, though, resulted in even worse figures: the 2025 deficit is now slated to be 3.1 per cent of GDP, growing to 3.2 per cent in 2026.

No One Reads ANYTHING Anymore…

With the talk of secession since Monday it is of course inevitable that everyone is going want to have a say. What is also inevitable is that many of the opinions expressed will be ill informed.

You would think with treaty acknowledgements being in vogue that there would also be an effort to teach what is written in the treaties, but there isn’t. So let’s do it here.

Please take the time to read a few treaties in their entirety as they also list what First Nations receive in exchange for the peaceful surrender of territory; you see there are no limits on education or healthcare. Also remember that while seemingly well intentioned, the government of Canada did not serve the First Nations well.  In some cases the provinces were even worse.

Another very interesting treaty is the Jay Treaty of 1794 that permits indigenous people to move freely across North America, living, working or going to school where they chose with all the rights of their chosen country, state or province, with the exception of voting rights which are reserved solely for citizens.

Elbows Down

Ron Butler warned about this weeks ago, but somehow it was never an item for discussion during the recent joke of an election.

Unifor said in a statement released Friday morning that the Oshawa Assembly Plant will go from three shifts to two starting this fall, citing tariffs imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump.

A General Motors spokesperson confirmed to CityNews that the Oshawa plant will be returning to a two-shift operation “in light of forecasted demand and the evolving trade environment.”

Socialized Dentistry

Carney announced this morning on social media that his government will be expanding government subsidized dental care dramatically. This is exactly how Medicare got started, with the state footing the bill for some expenses and insurance which gradually morphed into a complete prohibition on any private payments. How long will it be before cash strapped governments throttle payments to dentists, resulting in people being unable to find a dentist at all? Probably not that long.

Friday On Turtle Island

Woke America:  VDH – A threefold opposition.  The ladies club.  Gangbangers in Texas.  Newsom and drag queens.

Lord Carney’s Realm:  Things that will never happen – Oversight of the CBC.  No future for oil and gas.  Canadians voted for this.

Stories You Won’t Find At Carney’s CBC:  Warning, more weather is coming.  Don’t upset the Muslims in Nigeria.  Don’t upset the Hindu population.  Why so many?  This is England.

Your morning meme.   And at the Bee.

Creepy Joe Biden

Not only was the Biden administration keeping files on U.S. citizens, but one of those people was sitting there at the table, a member of the actual cabinet. “And by the way, I’m not gonna say who it is — I’ll leave it up to them — there’s at least one person at this table today who had a dossier in that building of social media posts, to identify them as purveyors of disinformation. We have these dossiers. We are going to be turning those over to these individuals…and they’ll decide whether they want to disclose it or not.

“Was it me or Elon?” Vice President JD Vance asked, causing the room to burst into laughter.

But watch the whole thing.

Globe and Mail- Manitoba health official asked why he wasn’t told sooner of death in Winnipeg ER, internal e-mails show

Scott Sinclair, second to Health Minister Uzoma Asagwara, said in internal e-mails that he learned of the death of 49-year-old Chad Christopher Giffin hours after it occurred and had been reported in the media. Mr. Giffin, who was triaged as not urgent and waited eight hours for care, died on Jan. 7 at the Health Sciences Centre, Manitoba’s largest hospital.
