Threatening to riot and come a get you because,
they know where you live.
If only the guy in charge could set an example.
Course, I guess we know what preaching for tolerance gets you.
It’s a good thing that the uniter-in-chief was Pres the last four years. It’s good that there’s no red state or blue state, only the United States. Otherwise I might be worrying if I lived near a city. I might be buying ammunition. I might be reading up on self-defense laws in my state.
At some point, you have to take the threats seriously.
And now, a Few Words from Margaret Thatcher on the Failure of Obamanomics
Actually this is from her 1977 appearance on William F. Buckley’s Firing Line, where she discussed the topic, “What Have We Learned From The Failure Of British Socialism?” But given that transforming America into the failed socialist England of the 1970s seems to be one of Mr. Obama’s goals, it dovetails perfectly with the choice today’s American Voters face.
Decision Time for Americans
Reading through this Million Muppet March article, one is naturally inclined to check whether they’re on The Onion website. But alas, no, it’s real.
With a staggering amount of per capita debt, with endless entitlement programs, with promised public sector benefits that can never be paid, and with trillions in debt over all, some Americans are going to spend a day in Washington, DC protesting cuts to puppets on TV?!
Mitt Romney specifically chose fiscal hawk Paul Ryan as his running mate because he believes that the majority of Americans are finally ready to get their fiscal house in order and restore their nation to its once proud status as “The Shining City on the Hill“. Tuesday’s election will determine if Romney’s assumption was correct or if the dangerous tipping point of 51% has been reached – that being the percentage of people who feel entitled to free stuff from others.
The Presidential Election of 2012 will indeed serve as a litmus test of “seriousness”. In his latest column, Mark Steyn, author of After America, doesn’t sound so sure that America will pass this test.

For tonight’s listening pleasure we bring you a great live rendition of Neil Young’s hit song, Rockin in the Free World, performed by Pearl Jam in Toronto in 2011. Ignore the political genesis of the song or focus it on the residents of the Eastern U.S. who are currently struggling to rebuild their lives after the recent devastation.
On a personal note, I’d like to share the story of a longtime friend of mine who, this past year, bicycled across North America. Pretty amazing IMO!

Oh, oh.
Ezra has called it for Romney. Not good. That’s like Schultzie calling for a Riders win….never a good sign. So is Barone. Dick Morris is back-pedaling a touch.
Does anyone find this surprising?

University! – The “abysmal” state of free speech at Canadian public universities is stifling students’ right to speak their minds, according to a new report card that gives mostly failing grades to universities and their student unions.

The Idiot Vote: The Democrats’ Core Constituency
Harry Stein is an American author who most recently has written this book that discusses the “useful idiots” that the Democrat Party depends upon each election. In this podcast, he talks with NRO’s Mona Charen and Jay Nordlinger.
If such voting patterns continue, America is sadly headed to something akin to Idiocracy.

Relief crews from Alabama who were specifically called to New Jersey found themselves diverted to Long Island, NY after they arrived because they use non-union labor.
And from the comments – “A neighboring team traveling with them from Trinity was not reassigned. They have turned around and are headed home. Unreal… Wasted resources and unnecessary suffering.”

Sen. Roberts on Benghazi
Senator Pat Roberts on the Benghazi event during Greta last night. Probably the most fair, but damning discussion I’ve seen. Here’s a former Marine asking the CINC to clear the air. He gets it. Politics matters, but this is more important. This is about the whether the trust between leadership and the pointy end of the spear is broken.
Previous to Roberts was Sen. McCain who reiterated the questions that Veterans, Nat.Guard, and Active members are asking. Anyone, anyone, who thinks these kind of questions from those willing to serve are a good thing needs their head examined.
Western society can not survive indifference from those who normally would be willing to kill and be killed; there are too many wolves.

During the current U.S. Presidential Election Campaign we’ve been inundated with some rather bizarre advertisements from the brain trust that wants to see Barack Obama re-elected. In the last century, across the pond in the Soviet Union, the hearts and minds of the Russian people were meant to be captured by cartoons like this one: American Imperialist: The Millionaire

The magnitude of Greece’s fiscal challenge was painted in sharp relief on Wednesday as Athens unveiled new budget projections exceeding the worst-case scenarios envisioned by international lenders when they agreed a €174bn rescue eight months ago.
