All pundits who over the past few months have been saying the possibility of Scottish independence as a result of the September 18 ballot, is at best a pipe dream got a rude wake up call overnight, when Scottish YouGov poll for the Sunday Times put the “Yes” (for independence campaign) on top for the first time since polling began, with No below the majority cutoff line for the first time, at 49, when undecided voters are excluded, and even when including undecideds “Yes” is still ahead by two points at 47-45. As the Spectator reports, “in the space of four weeks, “No” has blown a 22-point lead.”

I suspect that these issues are not on the agenda of a significant number of teachers but their own union rules prevent them from speaking out. Rule 8 of the BCTF Code Of Ethics clearly states, “The teacher acts in a manner not prejudicial to job actions or other collective strategies of her or his professional union.” Speaking out against the decisions of the union leadership clearly violates this order and opens the teacher up to disciplinary action.”

A sincere question to our Canadian brothers and sisters up north, but do you receive the same leftist claim that the reason the North American continent boomed in the 50’s was because our industrial base wasn’t destroyed during WWII? Because we were “lucky” and it wasn’t capitalist free market policies that resulted in our higher standards of living? You know, that the rest of the civilized world was hopelessly dependent upon us and our exports blah blah blah?
Because I get it all the time and I’m mighty sick and tired of it.

Obvious troll is obvious, but I’ll bite.

Not all the degradation is due to logging — some of it is due to forest fires, which Forest Watch’s Lee blames on climate change.

And the percentage due to logging is? And the percentage due to fires is? And what exactly did ‘climate change’ do to cause fires? And Pine Beetle?
Yeah…not so exact.
