A plan by California’s biggest utility to cut power on high-wind days during the onrushing wildfire season could plunge millions of residents into darkness. And the vast majority isn’t ready for it.
 
The plan by PG&E Corp. comes after the bankrupt utility said a transmission line that snapped in windy weather probably started last year’s Camp Fire, the deadliest in state history. While the plan may end one problem, it creates another as Californians seek ways to deal with what some fear could be days and days of blackouts.

Because for the left, the best way to encourage people to forget about a problem is to bury it under a bigger one.

It seemed obvious that the point of the Russian collusion narrative was to distract people from the fact the Obama White House was engaged in activity that would have made Nixon blush. If there was a conspiracy, it was the media running cover for the crooks in the Obama administration.
 
This understanding blinded people to what could be the most important part of the Russian collusion story. The Left really believed it. They really thought there was a secret conspiracy between Trump people and Putin people to work some secret magic to alter the 2016 election. They did not know the nature of this magic. In fact, it was probably supernatural, but the Left was sure it was real. This is something people outside the Progressive hive are just starting to realize. The Left really is that crazy.

ABC Sources: Police investigating whether Jussie Smollett staged attack with help of others, allegedly being written off ‘Empire’

Update:

A CBS Chicago reporter broke the news Thursday evening that the home of the two “persons of interests” in the widely circulated community alert was raided by Chicago police. In that raid, they seized a list of items including multiple containers of bleach, a “red hat,” an Empire script, a Mossberg rifle, and two computers. The home is occupied by the two men, and at least one is an extra on Jussie Smollett’s show, Empire. The pair left for their home country of Nigeria immediately after the “attack.”

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo lambasted politicians such as Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and others over Amazon’s decision to leave New York City. Opponents of the deal with the tech giant had “put their own narrow political interests above their community,” he said.
 
“[A] small group [of] politicians put their own narrow political interests above their community — which poll after poll showed overwhelmingly supported bringing Amazon to Long Island City — the state’s economic future and the best interests of the people of this state,” Cuomo said in the statement, which did not mention Ocasio-Cortez or other lawmakers by name. “The New York State Senate has done tremendous damage. They should be held accountable for this lost economic opportunity.”
 
In the statement issued by his office, Gov. Cuomo mentioned that Amazon chose the Empire State because it is “the capital of the world and the best place to do business,” adding that missing out on Amazon is a lost opportunity to diversify “our economy away from real estate and Wall Street.”
