As illustrated here many times, there are people, generally of a progressive leaning, who struggle to conceive of just how degenerate the degenerate can be. People who somehow remain clueless – one might say wilfully impervious – to the psychology and motives in play, as expressed, often vividly, by the criminals themselves.
And yet, there are creatures walking among us, in significant numbers, for whom the words human being would be a merely technical term and inaptly flattering.
Not an uplifting read, perhaps, but a necessary reminder.
Wilfully impervious, indeed. A flash of belated reason sometimes hits a few when they are victims themselves, but even in those circumstances a majority manages to not only absolve the garbage of any responsibility, but puts the weight of blame on their own shoulders.
There is a place in the justice system for spaying and neutering.

Honestly, I think we flatter ourselves about what a “human being” is. The above behavior is common and expected. Pillaging a fallen enemy is what men do in war. To the victor go the spoils. And if you come upon an enemy already defeated by circumstance, so much the better.
Let us hasten to recall that in Chicago there is a state of essentially open warfare between the police and members of a certain visible minority group who shall remain nameless. So nobody should be surprised by this.
I think the word “civilized” doesn’t get enough respect. Only a CIVILIZED man will stoop to tending the wounds of a fallen enemy. They do this because it’s the right thing to do, not out of hope for a reward. They do not brag of their good deeds, because doing the right thing is unremarkable and EXPECTED in civilized society.
One does wonder why our alleged “leaders” are so deeply dedicated to destroying civilized society and instead creating a state of open warfare in our cities. Spite, perhaps? And money of course. I’m sure there’s money in it somehow.
