The American MSM: See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil

Mark Steyn explains to Tucker Carlson how the vast majority of the mainstream media are not at all interested in the massive scandal that has erupted at the DNC.
Steyn elucidates further in his latest column:

What we have here, for the benefit of American reporters who may be unfamiliar with the concept, is an actual news story – an unusual event that’s happened in recent times. It thus stands in contrast to, say, speculative fancies about whether or not money-no-object special counsel Robert Mueller is expanding his “Russia investigation” to set the many Hillary donors on his payroll into investigating Trump’s sale of some property in Florida in 2008.
What connects the “fake news” and the real news is the DNC. The Russia “story” exists because the election wasn’t hacked but the DNC was. Wikileaks released the Democrats’ embarrassing emails to the world, although, helpfully, the US media mostly declined to report on them, and, in fact, CNN’s Chris Cuomo lectured America that it’s totally illegal for you mere citizens even to glance at these leaked emails. As it happens, the world’s most inevitable presidential victor somehow managed to lose the election, and casting around for a reason the Dems decided that blaming it on a stiff tired unlikeable legacy candidate with no message and a minimal campaign schedule was too implausible. So instead they decided to blame it on Russian “hacking”.

Your Moral And Intellectual Superiors

Ed Driscoll;

Pinch and the rest of the MSM haven’t exactly matured much since the Woodstock era. As Matthew Continetti of the Washington Free Beacon wrote of the Times in a 2014 piece titled “Fast Times at Eighth Avenue High,” “The next time our reporters and producers and anchors and bloggers affect an air of moral or social superiority, the next time they pretend to know the answers to every political and economic and cultural question, remember this: They are basically teenagers.”

If that.

Not Waiting for The Asteroid

This is CNN:

So, after nearly a full day of promoting a story labeling the redoubtable Reddit meme generator HanA**holeSolo the source of President Trump’s WWE vs. CNN logo wrestling gif, it turns out that CNN may have botched the story. HanA**holeSolo apologized for his myriad wrongs and stated that he never meant to promote violence. CNN threatened to out HanA**holeSolo’s identity if he reneged on his apology.
And the meme Trump tweeted wasn’t generated by HanA**holeSolo. CNN shot first.

Maybe their layers and layers of fact-checkers were packing moving boxes yesterday.

Steven Fletcher booted from caucus

Harsh, but considering the circumstances, necessary.

The decision to shun Fletcher comes after a difficult year which saw the Assiniboia MLA frequently cross swords with his own party. He introduced numerous private member’s bills without consulting his caucus or submitting them to internal reviews. Fletcher also filibustered at committee a government bill that would create a stand-alone energy efficiency agency.
The last straw, the sources confirmed, was Fletcher’s collaboration with Manitoba Forward, an advocacy group that has also been very critical of the creation of a new energy efficiency organization.

Really, Steven?
