  1. This just confirms that conservatives are fatally compromised libertarians. The well “controlled” party of “Me Too” progressives. Focus group polling to compete with the “real thing” in courting the mindless mushy middle.

  2. Uniparty, Losers Inc., Washington Generals, Stupid Party………….?

The most arrogant, incompetent, disingenuous governing Libranos, completely Librano-owned Media, endless Librano-owned/subsidized organizations/appendages, Provincial leadership at California levels, destruction of the Canadian dream……………the targets and the issues are endless, and the Conservative party, yet again, does their regular bang on impression of the Gang That Couldn’t Shoot Straight.

Just what the hell is wrong with the Conservative Party?

BTW: Great scene in that movie(When a Stranger Calls) when the closet door opens and she tries to wake her husband.
    “Have you checked the children?”

  3. It’s why I have no time for small c conservatives. That’s just code for progressive liberal.

  4. Well that’s fine. Let them have Ottawa. But if they want to play that game, then every square inch that HAS been surrendered HAS BEEN SURRENDERED. Maybe they should declare THAT when they make these stupid acknowledgments. It would put the FN that think they own the whole country on notice.

  5. To be fair about eighty percent of what they say publicly has to be insane bullshit to appeal to the ‘centrist’ voters.

    1. Let me correct that statement

To be fair about eighty percent of what they say publicly has to be insane bullshit to appeal to the people that will never vote conservative.

      1. “To be fair about eighty percent of what they say publicly has to be insane bullshit to appeal to the people that will never vote conservative.”

        Exactly.

        Well said, Joseph.

    1. “Why do they keep doing this?”

Because it keeps working for them.

The morons doing it are AT THE FRONT OF THE ROOM. As in, they are A) in charge and B) collecting a paycheck for doing it.

What are we getting? Bupkis. We are the stupid ones.

      1. But this ideological reaching across the aisle never works. It just gets their supporters angry, and they lose votes in the end. O’Toole and Sheer are good examples.

      2. “What are we getting? Bupkis. We are the stupid ones.”

We really are. We keep hoping and praying that our ‘conservative’ candidates will suddenly start promoting a conservative agenda, but they never do…and we continue to vote for them anyway.

  6. Quoting myself from an earlier post, because people are sheep, all it would take is for ONE PERSON to stop spewing all this banal, focus-grouped, consultant-drafted, MSM-approved palaver – I am 100% certain some Conservative Party-adjacent “political consultant” (read: a Montreal-Ottawa-Toronto-axis dwelling, consensus-fetishizing (“don’t rock the boat”), mouth-breather virtually unemployable in any other capacity – recommended doing this land acknowledgement based on some tendentious ‘push poll’ he/xe commissioned – and people would be pleasantly shocked at just how much political traction such a politician might be able to obtain.

Alas, the day when that might happen will NOT be today.

Again, I’m just not sure if any Canadian political aspirant actually has the balls to do it. As witness.

    Cuckservatives.

  7. “Canada’s largest Conservative networking conference begins with a pathetic land acknowledgement…”

Yeah. I know. I once upon a time joined the Ontario PC party, and found that it was stuffed with idiots and car dealership owners. The dealership owners were not idiots, but they did have a particular agenda which they pursued to the exclusion of all else. That being government contracts for cars. The idiots lobbied for free stuff.

Here’s my question: When they started spewing the pathetic land acknowledgement at the front of the room, how many people stood up and began shouting them down? I’m going to guess zero, I’ll be happy to be corrected by somebody who was there.

And this is why I do not give them any of my money.

    1. I made my guess before watching the video, and behold I was correct. Zero booing, zero people yelling at her to shut up with the pathetic land acknowledgement.

Zero of my money or assistance they shall have.

      1. Agreed Mr. Phantom. To repeat myself once again, most Canadians, it pains me to admit, are craven moral cowards, and virtually EVERYONE in the Canadian political class – i.e., “the socialists of all parties” (per Hayek’s famous dedication in ‘The Road to Serfdom’) – are doubly, perhaps trebly, so.

    2. “ Canada’s largest Conservative networking conference begins with a pathetic land acknowledgement…”

A conference up until this moment I had not known even existed and by all appearances is a cheap imitation of the CPAC that occurs each year in the US.

      I feel your pain.
The truth is a politician is no different no matter which ideology they advertise under
To paraphrase a line from Red October
“I’m a politician, that means when I’m not kissing babies, I’m stealing their candy”
My point is that the political culture in Canada evolved from the one the US rejected in 1776, that started its decline after the battle on the Plains of Abraham and the Brit’s decided they could retain the existing bureaucratic structure in Quebec intact at half pay and allow their native allies to continue raiding the western edge of the 13 colonies to keep same from expanding and becoming a trade rival.

  8. ‘first peepulls’ ‘first nations’.
ya? HOW DO THEY KNOW?? is it *possible* the bering land bridge existed and migrations happened BEFORE the last ice age and there were humans in current day north america THEN? and when the mile high ice sheet came down it drove them away, and scraped clear any remnant? and MAYBE some arrow head were left behind wrongly attributed to the algonquin, hurons, nishnabes etc?
do l believe this to be true? it doesnt matter.
is it plausible? hell ya. so what are the rules now regarding ‘who’s on first’?

    1. There absolutely were multiple waves. The earlier waves probably struggled in the new land, obviously they did not get beyond or even to full stone age technology. Later waves were more sophisticated, and wiped them out, took their women and children. It was the way of the world.

  9. For eons the natural cycle of life has been that the strong are looked upon to lead and protect their societies. Throughout the natural cycle this is a proven fact whether it is a wolf pack, a buffalo herd, or a troop of monkeys, the strong lead and protect their society. This has been also proven in the societies (governments) that mankind has formed. History is replete with examples. Each epoch of human civilization has shown weaker societies being overcome by stronger more competent editions of humanity. Until now this has been a universal truism. Today, at the start of the Twenty-First century, we are experiencing a total reversal of this natural state. We are abandoning a principal that has evolved for all of human history. We are on the cusp or perhaps we have already crossed the line of ignoring an immutable natural law by allowing the weakest and most corrupt members of the “troop” to lead us. The reading of these ‘land rights’ is in effect the final straw in the demise of the natural law. We have allowed the lowest, crassist, degenerate members of our societies (governments) across the globe to lead us to this end. We need look no further than the leaders of Canada, France, Germany, Australia, and the United Kingdom to see examples of this. From unfettered immigration, to unlimited taxation, to denial of freedom of speech and self-defence, to the final indignity of forced, compelled medical experimentation we have now submitted ourselves to becoming the Eloi that H.G. Wells warned us of.

  10. The whiteman brought the current indians into the Saskatchewan territory. The Americans signed treaties with the Blackfoot et al in the mid-1850s, it took a number of years before the indians stayed on their reserves down south. In the late 1850s, the current indians only resided as far west as Fort Qu’Appelle. Everything west of Fort Qu’Appelle (and east of the South Saskatchewan River) was buffalo country and was a war zone between the Blackfoot and the intruders.

  11. And I assume this CINO group also gave myriad Orangemanbad acknowledgements. Just to be consistent with their Liberal and NDP buddies.

  12. That is an excellent call.
Proclaim the “native right to ottawa”
It is “Unceded” land we must give it back..And they can keep all our current MP’s as slaves in a form of payment.
Then Can Ahh Duh needs a new capitol..
At the geographical centre of course..
Which,by happy circumstance, is up near Baker Lake Nunavut..
A most perfect site for the bureaus grand central..
A couple of years on the Barrens might be the most fitting punishment known to our parasitic overload.

There is no Loyal Opposition in Canada.
    We all know that.

And those Canadians who donated to the truckers, proved that Canadians know our Uni-Party for what they are.
The Cons can’t raise money easily, them, the NDP and the Liberals have to steal directly from the taxpayer..
the Truckers raised 10 million in 3 days…
Canadians will support real political opposition, when it exists.

The shock of the truckers support by voters, and naked lust to steal that money, overwhelmed our Parliament..
Maybe it really was an “emergency” in the Thieves World of Ottawa?

  13. First of all, this old bag can fck right off.

If I’m put in a room with all these backroom short-pants “conservative” policy/decision makers, there are going to be beatings.
They’ve never had a real job in their fcking lives so that’s three fcking strikes and that gets you two jap slaps each.

The worst enemy is a Judas.

  14. Yes it’s exactly what it looks like.

There still exists in conservative politics the concept held by some “we aren’t those kinds of conservatives” also known as progressive conservatives.
Always ready and willing to abandon a position to “find common ground” with those that would never modify their own position to find common ground.
They want balanced budgets but only if it doesn’t mean a reduction in government spending.
They get outraged by government scandals, but join with their opponents if the solution requires putting limits on the government

  15. You guys have been had. I attended the closing session, and one of the panellists was Jamil Jivani, and he gave a sort of “anti-acknowledgement”, declaring he was on a land if free people, with no two-tier legal system. I couldn’t hear most of it because it was drowned out by applause, but even if some twit DID give a land acknowledgment, it was clearly abrogated.

    1. It wouldn’t be hard to make land acknowledgements hugely popular. “This is the traditional land of the Locals. They never took any shit from easterners, and we shouldn’t either!”
