2. I must say that is truly impressive. This is the ultimate in trolling. A guy that Google banned interviewing the guy that Google fired for expressing dissent on their YouTube. Priceless!

3. If I was a tech startup, I’d try to hire this kid right away! In the meantime, I am switching my browser to (ptui) Microsoft from Google, and my search engine to Bing. Let Google be the search engine of choice for leftards and SJWs – I’m going elsewhere. I invite you all to do the same. I guess Google co-founder Sergei Brin was putting us on when he said Google’s main mission was to not be evil. If he meant that, he’d rehire this kid with a big bonus for the hassle, and fire those responsible for firing him. To paraphrase Edmund Burke, all that’s necessary for evil to triumph is for good companies to acquiesce to politically correct fallacies, or, as Thomas Sowell put it, replacing what works with what sounds good.

   Try using Opera and DuckDuckGo, I’ve been very happy with these since I made a switch years ago.

7. Thanks, Colonialista! Forgot about those. I’ve played around with Opera in the past but wasn’t motivated enough to change (then). And I’d forgotten about DuckDuckGo. Good advice. I’ll give those a try.

8. Amazing how doing good research is not the point, coming up with the correct progressive conclusion is what matters.

9. Concur on both Opera and DuckDuckGo (though admittedly Opera is not the best for banking websites).

10. Try Brave Browser and DuckDuckGo. Much prefer Brave to other browsers these days.

12. Just to quibble, Jordan Peterson does not so much interview James Damore, as Peterson parsed Damore essay with a fine tooth comb. I was waiting, for Professor Peterson to give Damore a letter grade.

13. Agreed. Peterson did most of the talking and often cut Damore off when he was just getting going. I like what he has to say, but he could definitely work on his interviewing skills.

14. After watching the Molyneux interview I thought Jordan did a great job. He asked more relevant questions, at least in the first half. On your thoughts about letter-grading in the second half I totally agree. It seemed like Damore was right into it though.

15. I switched from Chrome a while back, because I don’t need Google tracking my every move and Google selling the info to the highest bidder. DirecTV has this thing where they insert ads into your set-top based on your Google searches, which was. disconcerting enough for me to stop using the Google search engine and go to DuckDuckGo. it seems fine, and if I ever get really stuck, I guess I can try Google as a last resort, but it has worked fine so far.

16. It’s disappointing to me to see how inarticulate this young man is. Peterson is so uber-articulate in speaking, and Damore’s memo was quite articulate. I guess it’s more difficult for Damore in speaking. I wish he had less “yeah” and “heh” going on. He seemed unprepared to be interviewed. Sad.
    Who was the third voice that spoke a bunch of nonsense while both Peterson and Damore listened? Did I miss an introduction somewhere?

    No doubt Google mercilessly mocks the circa 15th century church for burning witches … yet burns their own … in the 21st century.

18. It’s a lot easier to be articulate in writing than verbally for many people. Cut him some slack, he’s a coder not a PR guy. I do agree that it was a bit tough to watch.
    The second guy was an anonymous google employee, apparently.

19. My preferred search engine now is yandex. Not that great in coming up with information on local restaurant hours but much better than google in coming up with pdf’s of scientific papers which google brings up as links to a paywalled site.

20. That was the most fascinating,and dare I say “real” interrier I’ve seen in years. Imagine how amazing and engaging the MSM would be if they all aspired for this level of honest,frank discussion.

21. Damore was fired for claiming that males and females are different. If that is false then why are we supposed to celebrate diversity?
