Finally, solid evidence of collusion;

The recent protests in Iran have raised many red flags and questions as to whether the Times is reporting the news objectively. As videos continue to surface on social media, showing masses of people calling for an end to the regime (and even “death to the Islamic Republic”), the New York Times has downplayed the protests as merely economic disputes. Moreover, the paper’s Tehran-based reporter was conveniently “on vacation” as the most consequential, anti-regime protests in years spread through Iran like wildfire.
It turns out that The New York Times has a special financial relationship with the Iranian regime, likely unknown to many of its readers. As one of the few U.S.-based Iran tour providers, The Grey Lady delivers unprecedented access to the theocratic nation for a price.

Enemy Of The People

There’s more than one way to skin a fake news publisher.

If you think President Trump has an antagonistic relationship with the press now, just wait until his administration slaps a new 30% tax on newsprint.
Seriously. That’s the threat America’s newspaper publishers are warning about, with the Commerce Department’s International Trade Administration set to issue a preliminary determination by March 7, 2018 on whether Canada’s export into the United States of “certain uncoated groundwood paper” meets the legal tests to qualify for countervailing duties under the Tariff Act of 1930.
[…] it’s hard to escape a certain amount of humor in the whole situation. A lot of the newspaper owners who are now complaining that Mr. Trump’s newsprint tax could put them out of business or raise prices for their customers are the same ones who spent the past few months issuing editorials ridiculing efforts by President Trump and Congressional Republicans to cut taxes on businesses.

Pathetic.

Reminder: Justin Trudeau’s brother Alexandre made a pro-Iran documentary in cooperation with their state broadcaster, Press TV. The Trudeaus love the ayatollahs like they love the Castros.

2017 #FakeNews

Rex Murphy brilliantly sums up the deliberate, dangerous turn the MSM has decided to head in:

When the majority of the American media failed in their coverage of the presidential election, they had to find some excuse for their massive incompetence. The New York Times, with all their resources, and after two full years of daily coverage of the campaign, was nonetheless projecting Hillary Clinton’s chances of victory at a full 92 per cent on election night itself. That was at least better than the pathologically anti-Trump HuffPost, which had Hillary’s chances set at a modest 98 per cent! Such was the state of American journalism, these companies barely allowed for the mere possibility that Trump could win. Under their professional eye, he was just a sideshow, even in the very hours before he actually won.
These two–the Times and HuffPost–can stand for a large set of the American press, both traditional and online. Their reading of the American election was the greatest journalistic failure–the largest act of group incompetence–in decades. This failure fostered the need for some excuse for how they got so much so wrong.

Not News.

What a waste of bandwidth.

The British navy’s newest and most expensive aircraft carrier needs repairs after a faulty shaft seal was identified during sea trials.

Imagine that, sea-trials find issues on brand new class. Shocking, I tell you, shocking. A 200l/hr leak. 200 litres. That ain’t the Titanic tear, more like a drip in the sink.
