Ownership without the right to sell an asset means that you aren’t actually the owner of that asset; you’re a serf.

There’s a case to indefinitely keep the Trans Mountain pipeline in government hands, possibly alongside Indigenous partners, say the leaders of its operator and financial overseer.

“It has incredible value,” said Wademan. “There’s absolutely a case to be a long term holder … I personally would love to see it owned by Canadians.”

So then … the Nationalization of a pipeline. A strong business case for communism, Right?

A political way to say, “No one wants it so let’s pretend it’s a great deal for taxpayers.”

Why aren’t companies eager to invest in Canada? Why has Canada lost 1 Trillion in foreign investment during the libera era?

Government owned pipelines are a huge red flag. It is a simple way to nationalize the oil and gas industry without nationalizing the oil and gas industry.

Government owning a pipeline gives them complete control.

I think we had a discussion on this site a year or two ago…in reference to the Canadian Government paying some astronomical price for some energy company, energy infrastructure, or mining outfit somewhere. The consensus was that it was the Left’s backdoor effort to go green without getting anyone’s permission.

In short, they were buying up fossil fuel outfits of every size and nature in an overpriced fashion. That way, when some private company showed an interest in them, they could inflate the price discouraging them from purchase…and keeping it shut down.

Run by a QUANGO the pipeline represents a glorious opportunity to steal.
With Government socializing the losses and costs,while stealing,they say privatizing,the income.
There will be no profits with them at the helm.
