CFL Picks, Week 12
The second set of the Labour Day Classics, the Back to Backs…unless you’re Hamilton or Toronto, in which case…IS THE CFL CRAZY? I hate that they don’t have the rematch. Why not just give BC their two byes together?
Friday:
Montreal @ BC. Montreal is in for another beat-down, I’m afraid.
Saturday:
Riders @ Bombers: This will be the game of the week but Saskatchewan will lose a squeaker.
Hamilton @ Ottawa: Ottawa is tough to beat at home. Sorry Hamilton, the streak was short-lived.
Calgary @ Edmonton: Edmonton knows what went wrong last week, they will still lose.
Double face-palm

“This is massive,” said Paul Martini, chief executive officer of Iboss, a cybersecurity firm. “This overshadows any other breach that we’ve seen to date — not just the volume, the size, but the type of data that was in that database.”

As of 31 July, Alberta has already experienced a record 41 hours of wholesale electricity prices at $0 per megawatt hour (MW/h), according to a National Energy Board press release.
The record number of $0 hour occurrences in 2017 coincides with higher than usual electricity imports from British Columbia during the month of June, 2017.
Maybe we should close down those coal plants more quickly.

Notley calls BC chaotic and unstable.
“It would cause nothing but chaos and instability,” said Notley. “And it would absolutely stop dead in its tracks, the economic recovery that our government is proud to be leading right now.”

Bribery
Unprecedented case could affect Liberals’ political future
The potential political consequences of a sitting premier testifying in open court on allegations her most trusted adviser and a prominent Liberal fundraiser bribed a would-be Liberal candidate cannot be overstated.
Leaving aside this trial, the Liberals have foolishly, recklessly and repeatedly treated Ontario as their own fiefdom to rule as they see fit — and the rules be damned.
Now Is The Time At SDA When We Juxtapose!
So in touch….
The Liberal government is so “in touch” with Canadians that federal government spending on public opinion research has reached its highest point in nearly a decade.
Also, the feds seem to dislike Nanos (PDF, 27pp), 1 study for $8k. They seem to really like Ekos and Ipsos-Reid, 23 for $2.3M and 12 for $2.2M, respectively.
Business Owners are Thieves, Liberal edition.
When normals get in financial trouble, we cut back on spending, forgo the wants and re-evaluate the necessities. If the situation is bad enough we have to declare bankruptcy.
When Shiny Pony gets in a financial mess, his mouth flaps. The attack on small business owners is well under-way. The smear job is official. Ten Million for terrorists, $373-million for Bombardier, the back of the hand for the driven.
“I want to be clear,” Trudeau told the assembled MPs.
“People who make $50,000 a year should not pay higher taxes than people who make $250,000 a year.”
Notice how Trudeau completely ignores the fact the corporations and the employees pay taxes? And that the sum total of those taxes are nearly equal to the personal tax a straight up employee making the same amount will pay? How he ignores the fact of tax integration?
You might be called an idiot if you think the employees of Bell should pay more in taxes to top up what Bell Communications Inc. pays, no?
