SDA is hosted by Hosting Matters out of Jacksonville, FL.
I note that the mayor has now ordered an evacuation of vulnerable areas.
I am completely unfamiliar with the area, so I can’t say if SDA will be affected, but in the event SDA goes down in the next while, there’s probably a really good reason.

ewe could have hosted out of Pier One here in Toronto, and things would be safer now:-)))
I don’t think any self-respecting Sask blogger can be hosted out of Toronto. And I live just across the lake.

SDA hosted in Toronto?
Do you have any idea how many snowflakes
would be triggered by that? They’d have to
shut down every university and college in
the GTA.
Poor UnMe would have to be euthanised.

Doesn’t this mean we have to nail plywood over the window, and pile sandbags around the url, or something?
Surely the predicted 15FT !!!! Storm surge will inundate all the servers. Yaawwwwwnnnn the Global Warmist storm hysteria is getting tiresome.
The AP reminds us that “nature has gone nuts” http://www.climatedepot.com/2017/09/08/aps-seth-borenstein-nature-has-just-gone-nuts-links-to-global-warming/
*sigh* … the things that pass for “science”
It might mean that mirroring the site elsewhere wouldn’t be a terrible idea.
If you have to leave, we’ll be here when you get back.
If you go dark, I won’t be suspecting the RCMP.
Hopefully their HQ only is in Jackson ville, and the actual server farm is on higher ground with solid utility service and reliable backup power.
I have some things hosted out of DirectNIC.com in New Orleans, they survived Katrina without a hiccup.
Time to test the disaster recovery plan . . . do you keep a backup small dead animal in the freezer ?
During Katrina, one of the most fascinating things on the Internet was a data center team on the 7th floor of their building liveblogging what they saw as long as the backup generators held out.
This is the worst hurricane season since…the last one I guess.
We’re engulfed in smoke from the fire near Waterton. It’s the worst fire season since…well, the last one.
