CFL Picks Week 10

Thursday: Winnipeg beats Montreal. The Bombers are on a tear and seem to have a real focus. Combine that with excellent coaching and you have the team to watch in the latter half of the season.

Friday: Saskatchewan wins in Edmonton. Kind of a flyer, but the injuries in Edmonton are a lot to overcome and the Riders are starting to look like a team.

Saturday: BC goes down in Ottawa. A long trip, Hull, an early game. Boys will be boys.

Saturday: Toronto might win in Calgary. I don’t think the Argos have the team to beat Calgary, but reports about an injury to Bo Levi Mitchell’s shoulder could change that.

More Please.

Your MBA is Worthless

“Yes, back in the day when only TRULY intelligent people went to college, those that went on to get advanced degrees were the cream that rose to the cream of the crop. And that “Cream of the Cream” commanded handsome salaries. But now, 50 years later, where everybody, including the stupid or just plain average, rushes off to get degrees the historical relationship between income and education will no longer hold. Worse, MBA and especially now law programs, are particular attractive post-undergrad options to the particularly stupid. Majoring in completely worthless and unemployable subjects, but still too lazy to try hard at something like engineering, the trades or programming, millions of sheep view an MBA or law school as a way to extend their adolescence… errr…avoid work…errr…”really get into the labor force.” Ergo, no longer do MBA or law programs hold the Perry Masons and Jack Welches of the world, but talentless labor market rejects.”

I don’t think that means what you think it does.

Must be one of those newly defined words the kids are using on Instagram. Immigration Minister denies that Canada was unprepared for surge of asylum seekers
Umm, you’re keeping them in Montreal’s Olympic Stadium. You had to bring in the military to create impromptu processing stations. You have the RCMP helping them carry their bags. You’re now sending envoys to Little Haiti to explain that, Liberal seats in Quebec are being put at risk and to try crossing in Manitoba.
“Prepared” is not a word I’d use.
