The staffing crisis has led to longer wait times for what is often a life-saving service. Back in August, an eight-month-old baby died in the Interior while waiting for an ambulance.

As BC Ambulance Service experiences one of its worst staffing shortages in recent history, unvaccinated paramedics say they want to get back to work.

But the Ambulance Paramedics of British Columbia – the union organization representing more than 4,400 paramedics and emergency dispatchers in the province – doesn’t believe that will solve its staffing problems.

– Foreign nationals won’t need to be vaccinated to enter the country;
– Incoming travellers to major airports won’t be subject to random mandatory COVID-19 tests;
– Unvaccinated Canadians will no longer have to isolate when they return;
– Travellers will not have to monitor or report if they develop COVID-19 symptoms upon arrival in Canada;
– Filling out the ArriveCan app prior to landing will become optional; and
– It’ll no longer be mandatory to wear a face mask on planes or trains.

When a Canadian conservative politician advocates the end of senseless Covid border controls, he is denounced as “right-wing” and “anti-science”. Now that the left’s poster child for Covid lockdowns has adopted the same policies, what mental gymnastics can we expect to see from the Canadian left as they try to square that circle?

From Tuesday, mask-wearing will only be compulsory in healthcare settings, excepting mental health services. Also gone are the few remaining vaccine mandates, for workers and inbound travellers. Tests on arrival in New Zealand are no longer required but encouraged.

Maybe this bunch of economists needs to scratch their heads harder, if they cannot figure out why the Canadian economy is shedding jobs.

Canada’s July jobs reading caught economists by surprise with a loss of 30,600 positions rather than an expected gain of 15,000 for the month.

Did they think that an economy beset by two years of lockdowns, severe supply chain chaos, involvement in a ruinously expensive war in the Ukraine and pandemic policy that basically drives away tourism would somehow result in job growth?

Rupa Subramanya- Court Documents Reveal Canada’s Travel Ban Had No Scientific Basis

The court documents are part of a lawsuit filed by two Canadian residents against the government. Until last month, they were under seal.

Among other things, the court documents indicate:

No one in the COVID Recovery unit, including Jennifer Little, the director-general, had any formal education in epidemiology, medicine or public health.

Little, who has an undergraduate degree in literature from the University of Toronto, testified that there were 20 people in the unit. When Presvelos asked her whether anyone in the unit had any professional experience in public health, she said there was one person, Monique St.-Laurent. According to St.-Laurent’s LinkedIn profile, she appears to be a civil servant who briefly worked for the Public Health Agency of Canada. St.-Laurent is not a doctor, Little said.

The mysterious hepatitis outbreak in children is linked to cases of the common cold surging after a loss of immunity following two years of lockdowns, scientists believe.

British clinicians have finally found what they think is the cause of the spate of more than 260 cases of the liver condition, which led to 12 children needing a transplant.

Various theories had been suggested, including it being a result of Covid infection, the coronavirus vaccine, and the common cold.

But evidence reveals Covid and vaccines are innocent and that an innocuous virus called AAV2 (adeno-associated virus 2) and adenoviruses, a common cold pathogen, are likely to blame.

Adenoviruses are very common and thrive every winter, but this spring saw an unusually large spike in infections because for two years there had been lockdown and social distancing, so the level of immunity to the virus in the population was extremely low.

As such, the number of people vulnerable to the virus was much larger than normal, leading to a spike when mixing returned to normal.

A win for the good guys.

Today’s unanimous ruling by Alberta’s Court of Appeal is a total legal, moral and constitutional victory for Pastor Artur Pawlowski and his brother David.

In short, Alberta’s top judges ruled that:

~ the court order that was used to arrest and jail Pastor Artur was flawed and therefore illegal;

~ all of the punishments that flowed from that — such as being fined and jailed — were without basis. Pastor Artur’s fines will be returned to him

~ the additional bizarre, authoritarian penalties — banning him from going on speaking tours; requiring him to read a statement denouncing himself any time he criticized the government — were revoked, and deemed unconstitutional.
