The US also ruined the National Guard by sending weekend warriors to die in Asia. Previously they were never called up even for Korea or Vietnam, only the big wars. Maybe it’s time for more states to promote an active State Guard. If the leave the army to purple haired lesbians, someone really should defend the country.
In related news, 77% of the prime cohort for American military service are unfit for service because of obesity, drugs, or mental instability. Probably similar numbers up here.
