From Tuesday, mask-wearing will only be compulsory in healthcare settings, excepting mental health services. Also gone are the few remaining vaccine mandates, for workers and inbound travellers. Tests on arrival in New Zealand are no longer required but encouraged.

I’m not on Twitter but I do have a bookmark for #vaccineSideEffects. There was a great post someone screenprinted of a guy admitting he had a hate on for those that refused the jabs. He’s ashamed of it now and is worried about his own health. Others echoed the same thoughts.
I don’t know the truth of it, but someone mentiomed only 12% of Canadians are up to date on their jabs. That’s also good news. The dead and injured are waking up those who blindly went along to get things back to normal.

I saw a by-age breakdown of “booster” shot status in Ontario and once you get under the age of 60, it’s VERY low. Like, 20-25%, TOPS, getting lower & lower as you go down the age brackets. Up above 60 it’s much higher, 50% and up. IIRC the total number of people who’ve had at least three doses is 50-55% or so, but heavily age-distributed.
And even in the <5 crowd who just had the wretched shots approved, the total uptake is still in the single digits. Parents are waking up in big numbers. Even a family friend, a nurse, has said she's no longer comfortable giving them to her two young boys, because she just saw them have mild Covid infections and come out just fine. She actually had booked appointments for them but recently cancelled. I made sure to tell her, "Good for you!"

Various high level and midlevel politicians force the use of unproven medical techniques…then ignore their own edicts…..so what. Defund the police movements result massive crime increase across the nation…while the politicians supporting these movements complain about feeling unsafe (and build a barrier around their place of work)….so what. BLM and ANTIFA cause billions and billions in damage, cause a multitude of injuries and death, go so far as to set up their own “country” in the middle of a US city…and the group of conservatives invited into the Capitol building are labeled insurrectionists….so what. Rinse lather repeat…ad nauseum.
The simple fact of the matter is there are no repercussions for Leftist actions….because there is no one in a position to hold them accountable. That used to be voting, but that process has be circumvented by the Courts and well placed individuals in the DOJ and Law enforcement.
Given the Trudeau Liberal government’s pattern over the last 2.5 years, my guess is that they will continue to: make shit up but say it’s “following the science”, further violate Canadians human/civil/medical/charter rights, and slander everyone who questions the covid policies of the Trudeau Liberals.
The various institutions and systems that are supposed to protect citizen’s rights will continue to be too corrupt or too gutless to intervene.
The provincial governments, including the Saskatchewan Segregation Party, will publicly pledge to uphold citizen’s rights and then cave in and implement whatever mandates or discrimination Trudeau tells them to implement.
The media, as paid employees of the Trudeau Liberals, will get their talking points from the PMO and attack or praise whoever they are told to target. Like last winter, I expect the Toronto Star to fill their front page with attacks on those who are unwilling to “update” their covid shots or follow other covid decrees ordered by Trudeau.
I expect the Trudeau government to loosen Canadian entry requirements soon, in part to take the wind out of the sail of Poilievre.

If they ask you Arrivecan app, or health information, just say you are compelled to reveal private information of a medical nature to CBSA. When they threaten you with public health or a 14 day quarantine, ignore. When they ask your phone number, do not disclose, it’s not required by law. Once home, if you’re worried, leave your car in the driveway, your credit cards and debit on the table, take cash, and leave the phone on the counter in your kitchen, draw the blinds, and go out and have fun. Without visual confirmation, or a credit card/debit identity, they would have to encounter you in person, and they don’t have the resources.
I have not heard of one single person who pleaded not guilty and ever had to pay the fine.
