China Recruits BLM to Protest for Slavery

Remember how Russia supposedly elected Trump using only the television ad budget of a failed congressional race in Amish country?

The Senate intelligence report actually found that “most of the videos” put up by Moscow “pertained to police brutality and the activist efforts of the Black Lives Matter organization”.

The Russians had created their own Black Lives Matter groups, activists and protests. Their favorite ‘Black Russian’ hate groups included Marxists who under their “gender non-conforming” leader marched through Atlanta shouting, “Kill the police! To get free, you’ve got to kill the pigs.”

Not to be outdone, the People’s Republic of China decided to join the fun by paying black nationalists to organize rallies against a ban on solar panels produced by its slave laborers.

In a historical irony, black nationalists went out to protest in defense of slavery.

Decolonialization is just a fancy word for “paint a target on their back”.

“The Blaze” notes that over the weekend, South Africa’s Marxist-Leninist political party, the Economic Freedom Fighters, held their 10th anniversary celebration. Along with singing the praises of Vladimir Putin, party leader Julius Malema led the crowd in a chant: “Dubul’ ibhunu” or, “Shoot to kill, kill the Boer, kill the farmer.” If you did not know, “Boer” refers to the white Dutch settlers who came to South Africa. Specifically, “Boer” means farmer in Afrikaans and Dutch. The reference is to white people.

But don’t call it genocide. That would be racist.

“The hospital was called ‘Killer King’ in 1977”

To better understand the phenomenon of institutions crumbling (while crushing innocents) under the weight of their own incompetence, look no further than the sordid tale of “Killer King” hospital.

Built on a foundation of affirmative action, it was finally closed when it devolved into a butcher shop of medical malpractice. You won’t be surprised to learn that community activists denounced those who tried to do anything as racists.

Why care about merit? What harm is there in affirmative action programs that reward the less qualified?

Here’s the story of the Martin Luther King Jr/Drew Medical Center (King/Drew) in Los Angeles, which operated from 1972 to 2007.

Or as patients called, it “Killer King.” […]

Patients would come in with minor medical issues and end up dead.

Locals would run away from ambulances in order not to be brought to Killer King.

Police officers had an understanding that if their colleagues were shot, they would not allow them to be taken there.

It’s long and sordid.

The “W” Word

Coffee giant Starbucks has been ordered to pay $25.6 million to a former store manager who a jury determined had been fired because she was White.

The former regional manager, Shannon Phillips, who oversaw dozens of Starbucks coffee shops, was fired by the company in the aftermath of a 2018 incident that took place at a Starbucks in the Rittenhouse Square neighborhood of Philadelphia.

The incident involved two Black men in their 20s who were awaiting a third party for a business meeting at the Rittenhouse Square Startbucks when one of them, Rashon Nelson, was denied permission to use the restroom, because he hadn’t purchased anything. […]

Phillips, the regional manager, was fired, while the manager of the Rittenhouse Square coffee shop, who was Black, kept his job. Phillips sued Starbucks in 2019, alleging that race had been a determining factor in her termination.

Her lawyers argued that “upper management of Starbucks were looking for a ‘scapegoat’ to terminate to show action was being taken” following the incident involving the two Black men.

A federal jury in Camden, New Jersey, on Monday agreed with their claim and awarded Phillips $600,000 in compensatory damages and $25 million in punitive damages after finding that Starbucks violated her federal civil rights in addition to a New Jersey law that prohibits discrimination based on race.

Good.

“Ex-Mayor Lori Lightfoot” Is Not The Name Of A DC Comics Character

But it should be.

Harvard University has granted a fellowship in public health to former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, who recently became the first Chicago mayor to lose a re-election bid in 40 years after a controversy-ridden tenure as the Windy City’s top boss.

In her role as the Menschel Senior Leadership Fellow, Lightfoot “will teach a course in the fall at the Harvard Chan School of Public Health,” the Ivy League institution recently announced.

The June 1 announcement lists several of Lightfoot’s achievements as mayor, such as leading the citywide response to the pandemic and creating a “Racial Equity Rapid Response Team.”

The “W” Word

Covington Catholic High School’s Nick Sandmann never tried to stare down a phony Native American activist. Smugly or otherwise. And we all should have known it.

Morgan Bettinger never threatened to run over BLM protesters, nor did she make any of the supposedly racist remarks Zyahna Bryant claimed she did. Bryant — a “social justice” activist and Marxian race hustler — can perhaps be trusted to review a new Applebee’s dessert pie, but on all other subjects, the wise move would be to adopt a skeptical pose when engaging with her, if not simply dismiss out of hand anything but spilling from her mouth save maybe a tasty fruit filling.

Michael Brown never said “hands up, don’t shoot!” Jacob Blake is not a hero or a civil rights icon — nor should be George Floyd or Trayvon Martin.

Christian Cooper did indeed threaten to take Amy Cooper’s dog. Justin Neely was a crazed homeless man and career criminal who absolutely threatened people on a subway train. Daniel Penny has never been a white supremacist.

Time and time again, the left creates its own mythology, then repeats it until the rest of us just kind of accept it as at least somewhat fairly described. And that’s a fatal mistake.

Judge Your Doctor By The Colour Of Their Skin

Race as a reliable indicator.

An article published last week in the New England Journal of Medicine argues that medical students should be segregated based upon race during their education in order to better facilitate anti-racist medicine.

The article entitled “Racial Affinity Group Caucusing in Medical Education — A Key Supplement to Antiracism Curricula,” written by faculty and administrators at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) School of Medicine, contends that separating White and Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) medical students into racial affinity group caucuses (RAGCs) can play an essential “part of a broader antiracism and anti-oppression curriculum.”

Because of the “legacies of colonialism and racism” in medical training that have “historically centered White learners,” the authors of the article argue that extant medical school structures are “retraumatizing” for BIPOC students. […]

“In a space without White people, BIPOC participants can bring their whole selves, heal from racial trauma together, and identify strategies for addressing structural racism,” the article states.

Well, at least they’re capitalizing White now. I suppose that means something.

If It Weren’t For Fake Hate

There’d be no hate at all.

A criminology professor at Florida State University suddenly left his lucrative position after it was discovered that he skewed statistical data to make racism seem more prevalent than it actually is.

Eric Stewart, who left his $190,000-a-year job, has had five of his six studies taken down after allegations that he fabricated information by altering sample sizes. Though Stewart has denied these allegations, his sixth study, conducted in 2020, drew the attention of an FSU committee, who gathered to discuss Stewart’s findings, per the Daily Mail.

Stewart has not shown up to work in the last months, which could mark the end of his 16-year career at the institution and his long history of academic malpractice. Additionally, it is curious why Stewart would feel the need to fabricate data if racism was truly as prevalent as he made it out to be in his so-called study.

What’s The Opposite Of Diversity?

University.

Two years ago, a colleague entered a prestigious graduate program. When I asked how the opening days of classes had gone, she described something akin to a dreary Maoist struggle session. Discussion focused on tedious strategies for avoiding the barely discernible microaggressions that would cause fragile classmates and others to crumple into apoplexy. Students dutifully climbed to their particular rungs on the intersectional ladder and admitted the sins that indelibly stain those on their particular rungs. Conversations signaled which sorts of viewpoints would be unwelcome. The best strategy, she thought, was to remain quiet and nod reflexively when absolutely necessary. I wondered how this particular department could have sunk so far, but in the following months, I realized that the problem had suddenly metastasized in universities of every type across America.

Human rights tribunal says the quiet part out loud

In June 2021, an Ontario high school student tried to sign up for a summer program. He was rejected because he was white. The “SummerUp” program, sponsored by the Ontario government, was open only to Black students. His father filed a complaint with the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal alleging racial discrimination. Last November, the Tribunal dismissed the complaint, saying the quiet part out loud. White people, wrote the Tribunal, cannot claim discrimination.

Last week, NPR laid off 84 people and stopped production on four seasonal podcasts, including Invisibilia, Louder Than a Riot and Rough Translation. The company warned in February those cuts would be coming after it projected a $30 million sponsorship shortfall this year.

Thirteen roles in the organization’s digital team are also planned to be cut, but that group unionized through a separate union for broadcast employees and technicians and haven’t yet agreed on a contract with NPR, despite the organization voluntarily recognizing them. This means they cannot be laid off until a contract or separate lay-off agreement is met.

While layoffs often mark the abrupt end of an era at an organization, NPR’s story has stretched into this week, spilling over into multiple, tense all-hands meetings in which impacted employees grilled executives about their decisions. […]

A group of executives, including president and CEO John Lansing, presented various financial metrics and updates on the diversity levels at the organization following the layoffs. As of March 24th, for example, NPR had booked $28.9 million in sponsorship revenue for the first quarter, compared to $41 million the year prior. The team highlighted that diversity levels remained roughly consistent before and after the cuts, though trans people in the programming department dropped, going from 2.5% of the workforce to 1.2%.

It gets better.
