Specifically, “Boer” means farmer in Afrikaans and Dutch. The reference is to white people.

How why? Haven’t you encountered at least one of Putin’s thousands of speeches over the past year and a half in which he talks about “the end of American hegemony,” “the end of historical injustice” toward third-world countries, and so on? He is the widely proclaimed “leader of multipolarity.”

To add a little context: the ruling ANC has been losing support and the speculation is that they won’t get a majority in next year’s elections. Therefore, the only way the ANC will be able to maintain power is to form a coalition and these folks are the most likely candidates.
So while they claim that this is an old chant and shouldn’t be taken literally, it seems likely that these marxists will form part of the government after the next election
South Africa is only a few years behind the former Rhodesia in terms of becoming yet another hopelessly failed African state. The black South Africans are reverting to the mean and that mean for Africans is damn low.
I have worked with 3 people who were white South Africans – who got the hell out over 10 years ago- 2 doctors and an IT specialist. My first boss in Toronto left South Africa in 1952 , when he was 19 and came to Canada, the last decent country as he described it. In the late 70’s/early 80’s, there were a large number of white South Africans who moved to Ontario and were primarily in the financial services sector of the economy. South Africa’s loss was Canada’s gain.
If you are white and still in South Africa, then leave! And yes, I am aware that your are only allowed to take a certain amount of money, 2 suitcases per person and you have to leave the family pet behind. But that is a small price to pay for your life.
My former next door neighbor fled SA about 25 years ago. He was a roofing Contractor. He did exceedingly well here in the States, and ended up being a home-flipping developer. But, then again, I suppose he didn’t install palm frond roofs … hence he had no future in the new old-time “black Africa”
I have a friend in SA who runs (ran) a hunting/outfitting business. Fifteen years ago he was forced to turn over 1/4 of his assets to someone who was not white. He chose an East Indian lawyer whom he trusted.
I told him at the time, “That might do for now, Henrik. But’s not what they want.”
About 5 years after the blacks kill all the whites, seize their productive farmland and turn it into a wasteland, there will be mass starvation in South Africa and then it will be time to stop averting your gaze. There will be no theorizing allowed about what the heck happened to the place, you will simply be coerced into giving those poor starving people your money.
SA is a wonderful example of what a lax immigration policy will get you. Despite the effort to equate Apartheid with segregation in the American South or to fold Apartheid into some greater statement about “white supremacy”, the truth is that only a small portion of the blacks in SA are native to the area. When SA the resupply outpost turned into SA a major regional economic center, immigrants came flooding in from elsewhere in Africa and it was only when the new arrivals were people who came to pillage instead of contribute positively that Apartheid was instituted.
