Twenty-five Republican governors from across the country released a joint statement Thursday afternoon expressing support for the state of Texas as it fights to secure its border with Mexico.
The statement comes as the Biden administration is fighting to stop Texas from securing its borders and preventing millions of illegal aliens from flooding into the state.
“President Biden and his Administration have left Americans and our country completely vulnerable to unprecedented illegal immigration pouring across the Southern border,” the statement, signed by 25 governors, said. “Instead of upholding the rule of law and securing the border, the Biden Administration has attacked and sued Texas for stepping up to protect American citizens from historic levels of illegal immigrants, deadly drugs like fentanyl, and terrorists entering our country.”
“We stand in solidarity with our fellow Governor, Greg Abbott, and the State of Texas in utilizing every tool and strategy, including razor wire fences, to secure the border,” the statement continued. “We do it in part because the Biden Administration is refusing to enforce immigration laws already on the books and is illegally allowing mass parole across America of migrants who entered our country illegally.”

The Texas National Guard is continuing to the hold the line in its standoff with the federal government.
They are still refusing to grant access to any federal agents and are now installing more border barriers.

This was an all-out Gaza-inspired, jihadist terror attack with gunfire and home-made bombs at Edmonton’s City Hall on Tuesday and not a word out of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau about it so far. In fact, on X he was talking about being at the women’s professional hockey game in Ottawa.
We’re all used to hearing how indigenous tribes got along so well with each other until the Europeans showed up, right? Apparently, the inhabitants of a village near present-day Crow Creek, South Dakota in 1325 didn’t get that memo.
The attack was brutal, thorough and devastating. No one would live on the site again. Eventually some of the villagers return to bury the nearly 500 victims in a mass grave – the worst atrocity in the history of what will one day be the state of South Dakota.

It was a pile of bones about three feet thick in an area of about 20 feet by 20 feet.
Of all the skulls found, 90 percent had cuts on the forehead, the telltale sign of scalping. A quarter of the skeletons showed knife wounds on the first vertebrae of the neck, which is consistent with a slit throat or decapitation. Of the complete skulls, 40 percent showed depression fractures left from blunt force trauma.

By this point, most of us have grown used to the long TSA lines and the rigid protocols that must be followed if we are to be allowed to board a plane. Even after you’ve been forced to throw away your shampoo and other bottles with “too many ounces” of liquid in them, removing your shoes and your belt, and the rest of the ritual requirements, you’ll still need to show an acceptable form of ID (preferably two). But signs being posted at many airports reveal that not everyone has to follow those rules. Newly arrived illegal migrants are not only exempt from many of the rules above and are allowed to fly for free, but they don’t even have to show an ID if they don’t have one. And this has some citizens seeing red.

Globe and Mail- Ottawa’s inaction is fraying the consensus on immigration
Less than a year ago, polling by Nanos Research showed 61 per cent of Canadians thought that immigration levels should either be increased or stay the same, in keeping with a decades-old consensus that welcomes newcomers to this country.
Public opinion has inverted, according to Nanos. In December, 61 per cent of Canadians said immigration levels should be reduced, with just 34 per cent still believing that Canada should maintain or increase the number of newcomers.

The leftwing corporate media is eager to pick up on sex education books that get banned in various school districts, but oddly enough they don’t seem to notice the other books that are being removed from the shelves.
Toronto’s Catholic school board has banned from its classrooms all books by non-Black authors that contain the racist slur known as the N-word.
Since September, the policy has forced the removal of familiar literary classics from high school curricula, such as Of Mice and Men. Other books that would be caught in the ban include Lord of the Flies, a common high school classic, and Gone with the Wind, less so.
What’s really interesting is seeing what kind of mental pretzels supporters can create in order to rationalize this idiocy.

It’s not located near any Israeli consulates or diplomatic missions. It’s nowhere near the offices of any senior Canadian politicians.
But as noted by a growing chorus of local representatives and Jewish leaders, the country’s most sustained anti-Israel protest has set up shop in the heart of the Canadian Jewish community.
“There is no logic as to the choice of this location other than the large local Jewish population,” wrote Liberal member of Parliament Anthony Housefather in a Wednesday social media post that also questioned how the blockade “can still be happening.”

Canada’s demographic revolution is running at a furious pace, with population growth outstripping even the boldest predictions, mostly due to immigration, with important implications for Canadian identity as much as demography, according to a new poll by Leger for the Association for Canadian Studies.
Canada’s population surpassed 40 million people this summer, earlier than predicted. Statistics Canada reported recently that Canada’s population grew by more than 430,000 in the third quarter of this year, for a total of 40.5 million.

It is very hard, indeed it may be impossible, to disagree with the flood of online remarks asserting that the treatment of the pro-Hamas, anti-Israel protests differ rather troublingly from the treatment meted out to Canadian truckers.
I’m not aware that Tamara Lich at any point during the trucker’s sojourn in Ottawa, in full voice, and in direct proximity to police officers, gave vent to “I’ll kill you … I’ll put you six feet deep” to either a policeman or to a passerby. During the weeks of the Freedom Convoy protest, as far as I know, and equally as far as the authorities are aware, at no point did she express murderous intent, make explicit death threats, or act with grand insouciance while doing so in the presence of numerous police.
They punish their enemies and reward their friends. And the vote rich Rapey-Beheader Community are their friends.

The quarterly population estimate released by Statistics Canada should be sobering for Canada’s political class.
We are on track to add between 1.2 and 1.5 million new people by the end of this year. The real-time population clock, as I write this at noon on Tuesday, has our population at 40,720,342 with more than 1,400 new people having arrived in Canada since midnight.
But as we add this massive number of people, we aren’t keeping up with the required housing, infrastructure or health-care resources to match the population.
Just last week, the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation announced housing starts were down 22% across the country in November — but Montreal was down 30% while Toronto and Vancouver were down 39% each. Nothing like solving the housing crisis by bringing in far more people while building fewer homes for people to live in.
