…both students are in good academic standing and are eligible to enrol for classes.
University spokeswoman Barb Pollock also told the Leader-Post last week the U of R has co-operated in giving immigration officials whatever information it can.
“We have been asking to discuss this issue with the government and we have not been successful,” she said at the time.

Reuters;

U.S. manufacturing unexpectedly contracted in November, falling to its lowest in over three years in a sign the sector may be struggling to gain traction, according to an industry report released on Monday.

More – Particular data points of note: Employment down from 52.1 to 48.4; New Orders slide from 54.2 to 50.3, and in the worst news for GDP Exports declined, Imports rose and Inventories plunged – which was to be expected after a huge inventory build up in Q3 pushed GDP much higher in the period. Member Of Broad Strata Community Held In Bombing Case

Suspect identified as Abdullatif Aldosary, an Iraqi refugee;

I just spoke again with my contact in the FBI Phoenix field office (who is not authorized to speak on behalf of the FBI office). This contact said that it is highly unlikely that Aldosary will be charged with any terrorism offense. While they are internally treating it like a domestic terrorism investigation, including looking at if he had any help constructing the explosive device, the FBI is saying very little and and will prosecute this as a simple explosives and arson case because of “the political sensitivities involved.”

That should calm fears of workplace violence, thanks be to Allah for that.

Don’t bring a drone to a anti-aircraft missile fight;

Photos provided by the animal rights group show the multicopter smoking on the ground, with its lithium polymer battery supply smoldering. Another photo shows the drone’s video camera smashed. The drone, dubbed “Angel,” was a Cinestar 8 octocopter estimated at $4,000.
This wasn’t the first time SHARK has been shot out of the sky. This is the fourth drone that the group has lost while investigating pigeon shootings. One drone landed on club property, and is the subject of an ongoing lawsuit.
