It’s being noticed by the low info types now.
These racist mongers will always need to be taught the age old adage; “What goes around comes around”.
All lessons need to be learned the hard way.
I’d say that that lovely young lady, holding the sign, is on a fish broth hunger strike.
Isn’t it time for a public figure to call the natives racists?
When they want their own segregated schools, on reserves, isn’t that racist?
Why do native leaders want to enforce their own self-imposed apartheid state?
The more I hear from some of the so-called native leaders, I wonder what kind of parallel universe they exist in? The demands, the belief that Canada exists as a colony, still, reporting to the Queen, the expectation to have all the benefits of a modern society, while contributing nothing, all shows a state of affairs, where one has to start questioning the sanity of the players involved.
How does a self-imposed, and guaranteed welfare state lead to a better life for the natives? More money only gets them a better class of drugs and alcohol (sorry, sad but true).
The solution to the native problem starts at home. Sobriety, family, and earning a living in meaningful work. The natives have trouble understanding that in the reserve culture. No, stating that does not make me a racist, just a realist (and from a brother-in-law who lives off reserve, and earns a decent living). I truly believe most of what we see is just lip service by the poverty pimps. They really want things to stay the same, just dish out MO MONEY.
There was an “Idle No More” protest going on outside our local federal MP’s office in down town Oshawa today. I almost shouted at them to get a job as I went past on my bicycle today, but didn’t.
This people before profits, and greed thing drive me nuts. Don’t they realize that not making profit is “unsustainable”? If you plant two bushels of seed and harvest three, you have made a profit. If you plant two bushels of seed and harvest one, you starve. If you plant one bushel of seed and harvest one, you needn’t have bothered putting in all the work. Pretty basic.
Maybe its time to start playing cowboys and indians again.
Just wondering if anyone else has noticed something thats bothering me about the idlenomore/occupy protests.
Considering how there is a whole industry built around rescuing the native demographic from the evils of alcohol addiction, why have I yet to see a protest gathering in front of a liquor store?
Or is that too racist to even ask?
Time for some enterprising HRC zealot to step and fight racism whenever and wherever it happens.
Let’s start with tins racist piece of human detritus and drag her life through the HRC Kangaroo courts..
Because they can be fun for everyone.
Exactly, Dan. Indian claims, demands and their very identity are all based entirely on race. So it’s not surprising that their insults are racist.
That dip-sh*t holding the sign would make better use of her time and energy if she spent it going after crooked, greedy chiefs and councils ripping for off rank-and-file band members. On the other hand maybe she is a chief or councilor, or family member of one.
Your looking at your slave master.
Now shut up and get to work before she pulls out a gun or gathers the gang and threatens some violence.
Your labor quota’s to Master are going to increase this year.
How much would you want to bet that this moron hasn’t a clue what’s actually written in the treaties? As a test we could get a non-Indian to stand outside parliament with a sign saying: “Prosecute thieving Indian chiefs” and see what happens. In case of violent reactions, I suggest nailing the sign to a 2×4 which may have utility in what passes for debate among the opposition.
Joseph, you’ll never see a demonstration outside a liquor store as that might get those demonstrating barred from the store. Also, if there was no problem with alcoholism among Indians, what would we do with all of the unemployed social workers and alcohol and drug counselors? This is a part of the Indian Industry that has a very strong interest in ensuring things stay as they are as it means employment for life.
A very nice , professional sign . When is the CBC going to provide the paper mache effigy heads ?
Every blog should carry that picture so she be identified by name and outed for being a vile, evil racist.
I wonder how long my ‘NO MORE MONEY FOR DRUNKEN INDIANS’ sign would last before I was arrested (or killed)?
Let me fix that sign for ya while ya go and have another bowl of fish broth….
It really should say, “NOT greedy, heterosexual, conservative, hard working, law abiding, not heavily taxed enough WHITE males, who love their Bibles and their guns” (that last part to quote Barry O which gives it cred).
Yeah, that’s better. That’s the ticket.
I was thinking, “Time for the gloves to come out,” but that’s probably what the leftist thugs, the U.N., and the likes of Michael Ignatief really want. Division and acrimony. I think it’s working AGAINST the natives, partly because times are hard and obviously these grandstanders would rather protest than work.
I’d love to knock the Harry Potter glasses right off her stupid, fat, welfare face. She probably thinks she’s being quite clever. I doubt she even knows what treaty rights are. Hopefully diabetes takes effect on her soon and she gets a good case of gangrene on her feet so she can’t walk her ugly fat ass out in public anymore.
The problem is that the Supreme Court and the Charter are both on the side of Idle No More and they know it. We are hooped. mid island miketyrwq3
Racism is alive and well in Canada. Unfortunately our media and government don’t consider it racism unless it’s whites.
To add insult to injury, quess who is funding her activities. The band office & your taxes to the band. That’s could be called a double insult!
I’ve been in the oil patch since 1976. I can guarantee she represents not one of the First Nations people I have worked with in those many years, some of the elders, unfortunately, yes.
What is with this chanting and drums for gods sake. When will they come into the real world and quit their friggin dancing and get jobs and start paying taxes.
Being a greedy white guy myself, I’m frequently tempted to reply with P.J. O’Rourke’s retort: “Let me tell you who those bad guys are. They’re us. WE BE BAD. We’re the baddest-assed sons of bitches that ever jogged in Reeboks.”
But then I realize that would embarrass my daughter, whose friends’ moms are already leery of allowing play dates with the child of a probable Nazi. So I just stick out my tongue instead.
Loki, there was a problem on Northern Manitoba Reserves back in the 70’s/80’s even worse than alcohol abuse, that was gasoline sniffing by kids.
A relative was a psychologist at a government mental institution. This person told me they had dozens of Indian kids as patients with massive brain damage from gasoline sniffing, which I had never heard of before then.
The psych said the effects were irreversible.
Have you ever treated people for this? If so,is there any hope of rehab for them?
Well it is just going to get worse as another 600,000 individuals(according to a court) can be recognized as card carrying Indians. Also the mechanism for getting cards for people with only a dollup of Indian blood is in itself an industry.
Who wants to file a human rights complaint?

“Unfortunately our media and government don’t consider it racism unless it’s whites.’
It’s funny you say that, because it always seems that the most ardent outspoken “aboriginals” never look very aboriginal, if you get my meaning.
I used to know a guy that claimed he was “Entitled” to treaty rights because he was 1/4 native on his father’s, brothers, mothers, uncles side or something stupidly akin. He looked like a member of the ever pro-multicultural, multiracial British Royal family.
And who are the racists now!? These pinkos can go to hell.
Joseph asked, “…. why have I yet to see a protest gathering in front of a liquor store?” Well, a relation of mine in Ottawa said that she thought she did see one yesterday. It turned out, however, that there was just a long line-up to get in. [Not making this up.]
Her glasses look expensive. I haven’t had new frames in seven years.
So ….. just exactly what is that stupid sign supposed to mean?
I’m really geting tired of these boorish A-holes.
If they spent less time protesting and more time parenting maybe their kids wouldn’t end up in jail or as streetwalkers.
Ah yes, racist insults will get you far stupid b!tch.
I think all good will has eroded, you fode-heads.
Check out zennioptical.com . Perfectly good prescriptions + frame + shipping ~$30.00. Glasses are a racket in Canada.
Why is there always a fat, ugly squaw?
Gas sniffing is common, here and in Australia. It is cheap, legal and the brain rot irreversible. Very sad.
chutzpah
Exactly. My first thought is “You want a war? Be careful what you wish for”
The rhetoric from the natives borders on what we hear from the arab world. Its so extreme, you have to wonder if they know they are exagerating and can’t back it up.
If they try blockades though, we respond in kind. Dig up all the access roads in and out of the rez. Well, if you want blockades, we will indulge you. (it will never happen, but you get the idea).
As I stated already, the solution lies with a sober, inward look at themselves. They’ve been blaming whitey and the gubmint so long, that they refuse to consider anything else, namely, their own prejudice and stereotypes of everything, which holds them back. Dragging around all those skeletons is a lot of work.
It takes 1/16 documented native blood to qualify for status. The answer to this kind of racism is to breed it out of them. Surely there can’t be more than a generation or two to go. Either they will be bred out or everyone will qualify. Come on young Canadians, take one for the nation. She doesn’t have to know the truth as blond hair and blue eyes don’t disqualify status. She’s probably just looking for a date anyway.
Who are we kidding with all of this bluster? Whitey will do what he always does, roll over and take it. And the other side knows it.
Cut them off. They want to live traditionally off the land and what not let’s make it happen. No more whitey beer and popcorn for you bitches.
Don’t take the bait. Spence and her ilk are to natives what Justin Trudeau is to western Canada. There’s a huge swath of conservatism among Indians, the kind that comes from country living and valuing self reliance. Corrupt native elites and their civil servant cohorts know that Harper will eventually try to derail their gravy train. Recent protests are a hail-mary attempt at dividing the majority while unifying a minority along race lines, perhaps long enough to delay any INAC blood-letting until the next federal election. Their demands are never clear because they’re only a veneer over the true battle – billions of dollars in structural public sector expenditures. That’s why the media tries so hard at making the fight into conservatives vs natives, and that’s why there’s always a big chief NDP.
They have Maude Barlowe on their side…
Why the likes of her would get a Diamond Jubilee Award is beyond me.

John Chittick, actually it didn’t require any documented native blood to qualify for status, because many status Indian men married white women who immediately became card-carrying status Indians. Today there are many Canadians who do not consider themselves Indian even though they have more Indian blood than a lot of status Indians. In any case we should have moved on from race based politics, but sadly they are still being promoted in certain circles.
In reference to the ignorant person with the sign, I would like to point out to her and all her fellow-travellers that were we to strictly stick to the rights and obligation spelled out in the treaties, they would lose a whole lot of what they receive at present. Another point is that the treaties make it clear that they are not, no matter how loud they shout it, nations much less sovereign nations. Of course as with anything nowadays the bulk of these protesters represent mob think and remain ignorant of facts. It is all about what one feels or what one believes and to hell with facts that say differently.
Sadly, that gas sniffing by children is sometimes not what it seems, when I worked in Northern Ontario, one reserve had a reputation for parents, wanting to go into town for a drunk, would soak the kids pillowcase in gasoline, then put them to bed… cheaper than a babysitter, don’t-cha-know.
I just got off the phone to my son-in-law from the Spiritwood, SK area and he said there was a short Idle No More demonstration in that town today that lasted for about 20 minutes or so. The short demonstration was no doubt due to the -25 degree temperatures. I won’t say who he works for, but his boss is a woman who is married to a Metis, and when this fellow heard about the court’s decision about the recognition of the the additional 600,000 Metis and off-reserve natives he said oh great, now they will be coming out of the woodwork to get in on the cheques.
So Max, hopefully you are right that many natives or Indians, whatever the accepted term is these days, would support the PM’s changes regarding the reserve system.
No doubt the government union bureaucrats are totally opposed to any changes that would eventually result in reducing the size of the Department of Indian and Northern Affairs.
Btw, my daughter-in-law in BC is 1/16 native and when she asked about tuition assistance for university was told “you get 1/16 of the benefit.
Petrol sniffing is certainly common amongst the Aboriginals in Australia and particularly the NT. A few years back they started selling a type of gasoline referred to as Opal which has less aromatics than unleaded thus depriving the “sniffer” of their high. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opal_(fuel)
I recently learned that this can be mitigated by the “sniffer” putting napthalene, moth balls, into the petrol.
Which just goes to show that it is next to impossible to stop a determined individual from getting high.

I’ve spent some time in Darwin, nice little city aside from the derelict abo’s laying around the parks and public areas.
I took a day out to check out the variety of art galleries in the city center, I truly dig “some” of the aboriginal painted art and wanted to bring a few paintings home if I found “the right piece(s)”. UNBELIEVABLE pricing in Darwin, anything good started at around $5,500.00 AUD portrait size and ran up to $80K or more for large wall hangers.
Comparatively (and strangely), similar quality aboriginal art was much cheaper (a tenth the cost) in Brisbane or Perth without the endemic aboriginal poverty as close at hand.
Brazilians have had enough too.

Maud Barlow – the ultimate Bourgois Bolshevik.
She hasn’t a clue about treaty rights or the Indian Act, you can be sure. Somebody handed her the sign while the CBC or Globe & Mail photog/camera op waited patiently for the set-up.
A lot of this horse shit is instigated by white activist lawyers, btw.
Kate, You once put up a picture where anyone could insert their own text. Any chance of doing that again? Might be fun.
Thank-you Max.
