Sophie’s Choice

Ann Rolle: They separated in January 2020. Remember Christmas 2019 Trudeau was alone in the Caribbean. For years we paid her expenses. Years.

When Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau announced in August that they had legally separated, neither offered any explanation as to why their 18-year marriage had come to an end.

But according to allegations in a divorce claim against an Ottawa pediatric surgeon, by the time the prime minister’s breakup became international news, Grégoire Trudeau was already in another relationship.

In the divorce petition, filed April 26, 2023, Ana Remonda alleges her former spouse, Dr. Marcos Bettolli, has “re-partnered with a high-profile individual who attracts significant media attention, and presents significant security considerations.”

That individual is not identified by name in the court documents, but it has been confirmed that Remonda’s claim refers to Grégoire Trudeau.

To be fair, I don’t think he told her he was gay.

And while we’re on the topic of open secrets…

And Canadian media just stumbled on a random rich people divorce filing by accident.

Serendipity!

No. They knew and concealed it, because of Liberal journalism standards.

Diversity Is Our Strength

@AntisemitismCA;

Additional footage as protestors affiliated with “Toronto4Palestine” swarm outside of Cafe Landwer and demand to boycott the “Zionist Cafe”. Protestors have posted pictures targeting staff working at the cafe. The organizer of this rally, Toronto4Palestine, initially celebrated the massacre of October 7th, and then later denied that it happened. They have also engaged in Holocaust denial.

We could use a woman like Oriana right about now.

Diversity Is Our Strength

Immigration, multi-culturalism, democracy – pick any two.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is grappling with a Liberal caucus that’s split over the Israel-Hamas war – at least eight MPs are calling for a ceasefire – even as he champions the Israeli government’s right to defend itself.

Mr. Trudeau is facing pressure from supporters of Israelis and supporters of Palestinians to take stronger positions in the conflict.

Behind closed doors, Liberal MPs say some members of their caucus are pushing for a tougher line against Israel and its air strikes and siege against Gaza. At the same time, they acknowledge, a significant number of others are making the case that Israel has a right to defend itself and it’s not Canada’s job to tell Israelis how to conduct this defence.

The Globe and Mail is not identifying the MPs because they were not authorized to disclose the private caucus discussions.

Update: Booed in a Rexdale mosque.

What Would We Do Without Economists?

Peter St Onge, Ph.D.

Bloomberg predicts recession, complains how mainstream economists keep getting it wrong.

In fact, the “Soft Landing” line has been trotted out before every single actual recession since 1969. To the point the phrase itself is a red flag, like “our banking system is fundamentally sound.”

If Bloomberg wonders why top economists get it so wrong, the truth is pretty simple: they’re paid to get it wrong.

Video at the link above.

Via @WallStreetSilv Nice to see Bloomberg noticing how dishonest regime economists are, but they let them off with “economics is complex” when the reality is a lot simpler: When government is paying their salary, the economists say what they’re told.

Libs Gotta be Libs

It’s who they are. It’s what they do.

Linda Frum- In “important” newsletter this Trudeau MP cites “atrocities” and war crimes which she alleges have been committed by Israel. No mention of Hamas. A call for Israel to end its siege but no demand for release of hostages or end of ongoing rocket attacks. This is the Liberal party hypocrisy we know so well. Specific messages tailored to specific audiences. Everyone told what they want to hear.

Our Long Weekend Is More Important Than Your Crisis

The Line- The government tried to spin us about Israel, and we have proof

Over the weekend, as Canadians in Israel tried to contact the Canadian embassy in Tel Aviv, they found it was closed and found no help. Reports of this spread over social media; The Line has directly spoken to several people over social media or by telephone with such stories. These were people who were either in Israel or outside of it but needed help getting a loved one back to Canada. They were unable to reach anyone at the embassy.
