Alex Berenson has just posted a few pages from his upcoming book. The chapter is about “Long Covid” but what he says about a number of other new illnesses is quite interesting.
I for one had no idea that my life time accumulation of work related aches and pains could be easily diagnosed as fibromyalgia. Had I gone the pill popper route to deal with this who knows how many different pain meds I might be on.
A vaccine proclaimed as 98% effective combined with a mass vaccination program was supposed to allow a return to normal existence. Judging by what is now happening in the UK, the window for normal existence may be closing rapidly, less than 4 months after most restrictions were lifted.
The culprit? That could never be a vaccine whose effectiveness was deliberately oversold to the public. Rather, the problem arose when the failings were not covered up with the permanent imposition of a bewildering myriad of restrictions on normality. The vaccination program is starting to resemble an inept worker whom the authorities must “protect” from the consequences of his own incompetence, instead of demanding accountability:
“We have the vaccines and we know which public health protections are effective … but the government has removed all public health protections to protect the vaccination programme.”
People have noticed that back in July the NIH website added Ivermectin to its list of “Antiviral Agents That Are Approved or Under Evaluation for the Treatment of COVID-19”. No word on which it is, approved or under evaluation. It does link to a list of clinical trails but it doesn’t look like the most comprehensive list there is.

CBC- One in five N.B. COVID-19 deaths were people who were fully vaccinated
A COVID-19 antibodies researcher expects to see more deaths among fully vaccinated people as vaccine effectiveness begins to wane. “The vulnerable are becoming vulnerable again,” said Rodney Russell, a professor of immunology and infectious diseases at Memorial University of Newfoundland.
Anyone over the age of 65, even if they got two shots of vaccine, should pretend they’re not vaccinated. “If you can’t get a third shot, then you need to act like you haven’t been vaccinated because you may not be protected,” said Russell.

In the UK report pages 10, 13 and 16 are the ones I find most interesting. High level of vaccine uptake amongst the older more vulnerable population, more covid cases needing hospitalization in the double vaccinated, by a long shot, and more deaths as well.

The prevalence of psychopathy is significantly higher among workers in some organizations and companies (e.g., managers, executives, procurement and supply professionals, advertising workers) than among university students or people from the general community. In turn, the prevalence of psychopathy among university students is significantly higher than among people from the general community, although the latter result could be due to the type of career that university students are pursuing (e.g., company careers vs. helping careers).
The quote doesn’t adequately capture all the different avenues of the psychopaths they looked at its just a taste of it. And there’s some rather obvious categories they seem to have left out.
“Most of our cases were fully vaccinated with high cases in children, adult age groups 20-29 and 40-29,” Anderson said. 90 per cent of Norway house health district’s eligible residents are at least partially vaccinated, according to DataMB.ca.

Update (from Kate): 28% of today’s new 12+ Saskatchewan cases were fully vaccinated. That’s not an argument not to get vaccinated. It’s an argument that vaccine passports are coercive authoritarian Covid theatre.

Health workers may be on the frontline when it comes to dealing with Covid pandemic but they are not quite at the forefront when it comes to vaccination rates. In some Swiss cantons the rate is only 50% among nurses. Too much knowledge could be to blame. First-hand observation of the side effects of the vaccine, as well as worry about long-term consequences, are some of the reasons listed for vaccine reluctance among healthcare professionals.

The latest UK vaccine surveillance report.
I noticed a couple of interesting things in here. First off they acknowledge natural immunity as part of the equation.
Based on antibody testing of blood donors, 97.8% of the adult population now have
antibodies to COVID-19 from either infection or vaccination compared to 18.9% that
have antibodies from infection alone. Over 95% of adults aged 17 or older have
antibodies from either infection or vaccination.
This confidence level chart was interesting.
As was this chart that combines vaccination status with age.

Chief Epidemiologist Þórólfur Guðnason has decided that Iceland will halt the use of the Moderna vaccine in Iceland. RÚV reports that the decision was made after reviewing new data from the Nordic countries, which shows an increased incidence of myocarditis, an inflammation of the heart muscle (or myocaridum), as well as pericarditis, an inflammation in the membrane surrounding the heart (or pericardium), among people vaccinated with Moderna.
I guess we are supposed to trust the science even when its a pack of lies.
NYT-Can Estrogen and Other Sex Hormones Help Men Survive Covid-19?
Both hormones are believed to be safe, especially when used for short durations. Participants will be warned of possible side effects that may be a first for many men, like tenderness in the breast and hot flashes.
For a frame of reference here’s what’s not considered safe.

An alternative paradigm, the carbohydrate-insulin model (CIM), proposes a reversal of causal direction. According to the CIM, increasing fat deposition in the body—resulting from the hormonal responses to a high-glycemic-load diet—drives positive energy balance. The CIM provides a conceptual framework with testable hypotheses for how various modifiable factors influence energy balance and fat storage. Rigorous research is needed to compare the validity of these 2 models, which have substantially different implications for obesity management, and to generate new models that best encompass the evidence.

Sweden suspends Moderna vaccine for those 30 and under.
“The reason for the pausing is “signals of an increased risk of side effects such as inflammation of the heart muscle or the pericardium” — the double-walled sac containing the heart and the roots of the main vessels, Sweden’s Public Health Agency said in a statement. “The risk of being affected is very small.” and “U.S. and European regulators caution, however, that both the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines appear linked to a rare reaction in teenagers and young adults — chest pain and heart inflammation.”

Then there’s the vaccine miracle in New Brunswick. With 90% of the population jabbed, and 81% double jabbed cases are at an all time high and they just cancelled Thanksgiving.

We have investigated a nosocomial COVID-19 outbreak involving the SARS-CoV-2 Delta variant among a highly vaccinated population. The attack rate among exposed individuals reached 23.3% in patients and 10.3% in staff, with 96.2% vaccination rate among exposed individuals. Moreover, several transmissions probably occurred between two individuals both wearing surgical masks, and in one instance using full PPE, including N-95 mask, face shield, gown and gloves.
Breakthrough cases in San Francisco that seem to be following Geert Vanden Bossche’s predictions.
“Fully vaccinated were more likely than unvaccinated persons to be infected by variants carrying mutations associated with decreased antibody neutralization.” And,” Viral loads were significantly higher in symptomatic as compared to asymptomatic vaccine breakthrough cases, and symptomatic vaccine breakthrough infections had similar viral loads to unvaccinated infections.” as well as, “These findings suggest that vaccine breakthrough cases are preferentially caused by circulating antibody-resistant SARS-CoV-2 variants, and that symptomatic breakthrough infections may potentially transmit COVID-19 as efficiently as unvaccinated infections, regardless of the infecting lineage.”
New one in the Lancet confirming what we already know about how long the shots last.
Effectiveness against infections declined from 88% (95% CI 86–89) during the first month after full vaccination to 47% (43–51) after 5 months. Among sequenced infections, vaccine effectiveness against infections of the delta variant was high during the first month after full vaccination (93% [95% CI 85–97]) but declined to 53% [39–65] after 4 months. Effectiveness against other (non-delta) variants the first month after full vaccination was also high at 97% (95% CI 95–99), but waned to 67% (45–80) at 4–5 months. Vaccine effectiveness against hospital admissions for infections with the delta variant for all ages was high overall (93% [95% CI 84–96]) up to 6 months.
And to finish things off a paper looking at the costs and benefits of lockdowns.
“An examination of over 100 Covid-19 studies reveals that many relied on false assumptions that over-estimated the benefits and under-estimated the costs of lockdown. The most recent research has shown that lockdowns have had, at best, a marginal effect on the number of Covid-19 deaths. “And,”Using a mid-point estimate for costs and benefits, the reasonable estimate for Canada is a cost/benefit ratio of 141. It is possible that lockdown will go down as one of the greatest peacetime policy failures in modern history.”

Be careful jumping to conclusions
These results, in some manner of speaking, are good. Everyone wishes for fewer people to die. But there are still many factors involved that do not permit us to simply say the vaccines cause a reduction in COVID death after infection. There are ways the vaccines could be the cause of a reduction in COVID death, and many they would not be.

The other day we had a few people in the comments section overly excited about the retraction of a paper by the Heart Institute on the risks of myocarditis. There was a mistake in the paper but a more detailed look reveals similar risks nonetheless.
While we’re on the subject, The UK Government’s own data does not support the claims made for vaccine effectiveness/safety.
Adverse events reporting in Ontario continues to increase in all age brackets.
And for some reason showing your papers on patios and in restaurants in Quebec isn’t having the desired effect.
