Now Is The Time At SDA When We Juxtapose!

April, 2024: In a Friday press release headlined simply “Canada’s Housing Plan,” the Prime Minister’s Office laid out a plan to “unlock 3.87 million new homes by 2031.” … “Canada can and will solve the housing crisis,” read an attached quote by Housing Minister Sean Fraser.

June, 2024; Canadian building permits dropped again in June by 13.9%, continuing the trend of a softening property market despite the government’s attempts to accelerate housing development. According to Statistics Canada, the decline in June was even greater than the previous month, which saw permits drop 12.2% in May and the data is even worse on a year-over-year basis, where the overall value of permits issued in June has dropped by 21.6%.

What If They’re Christian Prayers?

Sun- Prayer service in busy downtown intersection not against the law

“In Canada, no permit is required to hold a demonstration, as peaceful assembly and expression, including prayers, are protected under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms,” Toronto Police spokesperson Stephanie Sayer said.

Even, police say, if such a demonstration inconveniences other citizens by snarling traffic and delaying public transit.

Well…

Much has changed in the approach to policing since the G20 in 2010 where many were arrested for protesting, or when Adam Skelly was busted during the pandemic for his lockdown protest at his Adamson BBQ restaurant in 2020, or Christian Pastor David Lynn was charged with causing a disturbance for preaching to more than a dozen supporters near Church St. during Pride Month in 2019.

Diversity Is Our Hustle

Post Millenial;

Trudeau cabinet minister Harjit Sajjan wanted to use Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) personnel as a backdrop for Punjabi pop star Diljit Dosanjh. Dosanjh, a Sikh from the Punjab region of India, is a well-known entertainer in that country.

As first reported in The Globe and Mail, Sajjan, who was minister of national defense for six years, received a request in April for uniformed military personnel to participate as in Dosanjh’s Vancouver performance on Apr. 27.

It is unclear whether the CAF members were expected to sing or dance. As defense minister in 2017, Sajjan presented Dosanjh with a medal while the singer was touring Canada. […]

“Minister Sajjan agreed the concert would be a good opportunity for the Canadian Armed Forces to engage with and expand connect to a diverse community of young Canadians, along the lines of the CAF outreach and recruiting events at professional sporting events,” said Sajjan’s press secretary Joanna Kanga.

“Decline Is A Process, Not A Moment”

The critic- Boiling the British frog

On July 11th, the new Labour government announced that 5,000 prisoners would be released early, in order to ease prison overcrowding. On July 15th, reports emerged that London’s once-great Metropolitan Police had failed to solve a single burglary, phone theft, or car theft in 166 London neighbourhoods over the past three years. On July 17th, a Jordanian refugee who attacked a female police officer in Bournemouth was spared community service on the grounds that he could not speak English — and on July 18th, two asylum seekers from Egypt who stole a watch worth £25,000 in London’s West End were spared jail.

That same day saw two separate cases of rioting. In the Harehills area of Leeds, police were attacked and a double-decker bus was set on fire by local residents after four Romani children were taken into care by social services. In East London’s plurality-Bangladeshi borough of Tower Hamlets, rioting broke out in response to political unrest in Bangladesh.

Let me stress this again — all of these incidents took place within the space of a single week.

Konstantin Kisin- Riots in Britain: Nothing Left to Add

In all of these pieces, I explained that government policy across the Western world over the last two decades had brought the pot to boiling point. And predicted that instead of turning off the gas and listening to people’s concerns, the reaction from the media and politicians would be to screw the lid on tighter and make things worse. Which they have now done.

Nearly 4,000 hotel rooms for illegal immigrants and refugee claimants are being billed to taxpayers monthly, says the Department of Immigration.

“As of May 30 the department’s hotel footprint consists of approximately 3,810 rooms in 29 hotels housing approximately 6,900 claimants in British Columbia, Ontario, Québec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador,” said a June 13 briefing note. The largest number of refugee hotels were in Ontario at Cornwall, Kingston, Mississauga, Niagara Falls, Ottawa and Windsor, it said.

The Broad Spectrum Gang, Still At It

Sun- 18 charged with 150 offences in violent Peel home invasions, carjackings

Six of the accused were already on release orders and nine of the accused have already been released on bail.

Project Warlock also recovered more than 12 stolen vehicles valued at $1.2 million, $55,000 worth of stolen property, four prohibited firearms — one with obliterated serial number, and two imitation firearms after officers executed 60 search warrants.

CCFR/CCDAF- Peel Regional Police say nearly all of the firearms used in carjackings and home invasions are illegally smuggled from the U.S.

Spreading The Love

Eugyppius- Disorderly “refugees” turn Erfurt commuter rail line into a daily hell

The problems are especially acute on a route between the state capital in Erfurt and a mid-sized town 50km to the south called Suhl. The reason is that Suhl is home to Thüringen’s initial refugee reception facility. At any given time, hundreds of migrants from Syria, Afghanistan and Turkey are housed in these flats, and they’re constantly taking the train to and from Erfurt, and terrorising everybody else who is doing the same thing.
