O, Sweet Saint Of San Andreas

A benefit concert raised $100M in funds for the Palisades fire victims. Here’s where it went;

– CA Native Vote Project: $100,000 for voter participation for Native Americans
– Community Organized Relief Effort (CORE): $250,000 for programs prioritizing undocumented immigrants
– Altadena Talks Foundation: $100,000 went to supported podcasts, including Toni Raines podcast
– NAACP Pasadena: $100,000 political advocacy
– Los Angeles Black Worker Center $550,000 to political advocacy organizations
– Center for Applied Ecological Remediation: $500,000 for fungus/microbe/plant soil remediation projects

Over $500,000 went to bonuses for nonprofit leaders and consultants

  1. This theft of $100 million should clarify for California voters the Democrat Party mantra “never let a crisis go to waste “.

    1. The amounts shown total about 2.5 million USD. What about the $97.5 millions left?

    1. California pop = 39.4 million
      Canada pop = 40.4 million

      California debt = $1.6 Trillion
      Canada debt = $1.3 Trillion

      It’s a race!
Barely a high speed train to nowhere boondoggle between them.

      1. California GDP = $4.25 Trillion
        Canada GDP = $2.42 Trillion

        Yikes.

They have more room for error.

        1. Eventually … we will look back with fondness when CA was said to be the 6th largest economy in the world.

That economy is being systematically dismantled by the communists ruining this State.

      2. As long as people keep quoting that lie it will persist. Canada’s debt is north of 2 trillion, they net the CPP assets against it, which were funded by employers and employees and do not “belong” to the government.

        1. I dunno.
          It’s Canada.
My several decade perusal suggests the Libranos own it all.
          Everything.
          From statistics to paycheck deductions.
          Well,except the debt.
          That’s yours. All yours.
And of course, numbers, any numbers, are Liberally massaged for soothing purposes.
Any relation to the truth is purely coincidental.

        2. AND, never mentioned is not only government debt but HOUSEHOLD DEBT. Canada has the third highest household debt to GDP ratio in the world just behind Switzerland and Australia. It is 101% in Canada and in the U.S. it is 68%.

  2. The crony state-“NGO” complex is far more expansive and evil than the military industrial complex.

  3. I’ve always known they used my money to buy my vote.

I just never realized it’s a worldwide mostly Librano operation, with my tax dollars more world traveled than a Librano MP and grubby Lefty Librano hands grabbing the majority of the “Good Works”.

  4. What was everyone expecting???

In the words of another Californian: “Forget it, Jake. It’s Chinatown.”

    Grifters gonna grift

  5. When this “Foundational Concert” was first reported there was an article in the LA Times (online) that included a link to those sub-foundations where the money was earmarked to be processed. The link disappeared about a week later from the article.

However, if you go back in the archives on this site you’ll see that I included the link in the comment section. I posted it because the link led to a listing of black music producers (I remember will.i.am as one of them). I thought that odd. And, seeing the listing of where the money went, it makes sense. Especially, the $500,000 bonuses to leaders and consultants.

    1. That reminds me of Kamala’s campaign paying Oprah (and others) $ Million appearance fees.

  6. That is why I have refused to donate one volunteer penny to public schools, universities, or hospitals. Anything you donate will just be added to the billions they are already pissing away.

    1. Exactly. I have yet to donate a single dollar to my commie puke alma mater (Rutgers). Luckily my field of study (landscape architecture) was pretty much devoid of any Marxist indoctrination.

  7. Charity was supposed to be from the individual. Since it went commercial then govermental it also went corrupt. Now that it’s mandatory, it’s no different than socialism.

  8. “A benefit concert raised $100M in funds…”

Yes, and this is why I do not give to charities. At all. Ever. In any way. Except the Canadian Warplane Heritage, I buy their merch.

Because once upon a time there was another concert that I recall. Anybody still remember Bob Geldoff? Band Aid, Live Aid? I heard an interview one time where he said his biggest problem was giving the money to people who would actually do something useful. Apparently they’re rare.
