    1. And in the Globe “Ottawa to pull plug on Arctic naval facility” sorry behind paywall (sunk cost $130M) Is he giving it to the Chinese too? look up 73 deg 04’04″N, 84 deg 33′ 00″ W
This is after Trudeau allowed the Chinese to buy Izok mine on Grays Bay, Nu (and its future port facilities), and Carney (read taxpayers) offered to pay for a road for them. How long before Carney allows them to install missiles? or will he just be told
The future of the north is …. Chinese??
No wonder that Trump is pissed. Is this another example of ‘Trump was right’ ?

Hmm Only $130M and it looks better than our $200M space base.

    2. 1st podcast I’ve watched all the way through, ever! Thanks for posting, Larry. This one is important for anyone interested in national security, tariffs, Alberta independence, and the connections between all.

  1. Following the Soviet occupation of Germany in 1945, Marshal Georgy Zhukov was
accused of massive looting, a controversy known as the “Trophy Affair” (or Trofeinoye Delo). Investigations ordered by Joseph Stalin uncovered thousands of luxury items at Zhukov’s various properties that had been illegally transported from Germany for his personal use.

A detailed list of the material found during secret searches of Zhukov’s dacha and apartment includes:
Furniture: Seven railway carriages filled with expensive German furniture, including 194 complete sets for living rooms, dining rooms, and bedrooms.
Fabrics and Textiles: Over 4,000 meters of high-end fabrics such as silk, brocade, and velvet.
Furs and Skins: 323 animal skins, including rare sable, monkey, fox, and astrakhan.
Fine Art: 55 valuable classical paintings in ornate frames and 44 ancient carpets and large tapestries taken from palaces in Potsdam and other German cities.
Luxury Dishes: Seven large boxes of porcelain and crystal dishes.
Silverware: Two large boxes of silver dinnerware and tea sets.
Jewelry and Watches:24 watches, including 17 gold watches and 3 with precious stones.15 gold pendants and rings (8 with precious stones).
Gold keychains, cigarette boxes, bracelets, and earrings encrusted with gems.

  2. Washington just became the first state in U.S. history to terminate a public employee pension plan.

Weeks ago, it was reported that if NYC mayor Mamdani didn’t get his tax increase and his wealth tax, he would be looking at other options. Those options include public employee health benefit funds as his slush fund for his freebie giveaways. Public empliyees, like the school teachers, endorsed and voted for Mamdani. Like their favorite president Obama said “elections have consequences.”

    1. In a related story … Kamala Harris and Megan Markle both look as white as my lillywhite daughter who tans very easily, like her mother (she didn’t get that from MY Euromutt genes).

  3. And suddenly, the narrative changed.

    https://www.westernjournal.com/border-patrol-raids-disney-cruise-ship-finds-every-parents-nightmare-lurking-board-dems-want-defunded/

It started out as ICE agents arresting illegals on a Disney cruise. “One minute we were talking to the nice man and the next minute he’s in hand-cuffs being led away by ICE” type of narrative.

    But then …

“A group of alleged child predators were arrested after they’d been working around children and families aboard a Disney cruise.”

  4. YouTube fed me this nice (mostly accurate) piece on the rise and fall … and I suggest resurrection … of High Fidelity music reproduction.

As an avowed audiophile ever since my dearly beloved brother and I became audiophiles in the late 70’s when we both became hard working adults with paychecks to spend on our dreams … I’d dare say everything in this piece is spot on. And for the record (sorry) …

I am a dedicated tube fan who owns a pair of monoblocked MC-275’s as depicted
I am a British speaker fan who owns two pair Spendor classic resonant boxes and gorgeous little Harbeth speakers in my office.
And yes, my turntable cost more than my first car … hell … my cartridge cost more than my first car

And there is a generational component to the resurgence of vinyl. My own children grew up with me spinning vinyl and when they hit college, they both asked me to find them some quality turntables. So I drove to Modesto to buy a pristine Denon DP-60L … which he still has. And I actually found a used Wilson Benesch Circle turntable for my daughter in Berkeley … for jussssst a bit more money. So yeah … the Boomers who LIVED Hi-Fi in the 70’s have passed their audiophile urges on to the next generation.

  5. (Canadian) Charlotte Kates, International Coordinator Of Samidoun, Designated Terrorist Entity Linked To The PFLP, Advocates Kidnapping Israeli Soldiers

I have heard a few times, that she is a lesbian. Why that is relevant is that she married a Arab terrorist and he successfully came to Canada and became landed. I don’t know if the government gave him citizenship yet or not.
