The more I watch the aftermath of the recent British election, the more I realize how powerfully compelling Boris Johnson’s fiercest opponents were to help him get elected. Case in point is an outspoken feminist “journalist” named Laurie Penny who just can’t stop talking. She’s an outspoken SJW who loves to call anyone she disagrees with a fascist. She only believes in free speech she deems to be acceptable. Here’s a little sampling of her “brilliant” post-election reportage:
Being angry and disappointed in your fellow citizens is not the same as thinking they’re evil, and it’s not the same as wishing them harm. I don’t want to see anyone locked in a cage at the border or dying in a homeless shelter or watching their kids going hungry just because I happen to find their opinions distasteful. I don’t want those things to happen to anyone. As a dear friend wrote on Facebook, I can wish no worse on those people than that they will one day understand the consequences of their actions and be obliged to live with them. But honestly, nobody deserves what’s coming.
Much like a religious cult member, she can’t accept that there’s anything other than Her Truth, Her Facts, Her Reality Bubble. Dare disagree, even a little, and you’re immediately deemed to be misguided at best and pure evil at worst.

Tom Walker is a comedian who plays the role of Jonathan Pie, a fictional news reporter. In this post election rant he goes on a long rant intended for left of centre voters. Ash Sarkar is a British social warrior posing as a journalist. She’s a fangirl of Jeremy Corbyn and a self-admitted communist. A few days before the massive defeat of her beloved Labour Party, she penned a missive that Labour has not lost the working class:
The problem with reducing the actually existing diverse working class to a homogeneous cohort of older white Brits with regional accents is that it’s fundamentally misleading. It doesn’t tell you much about either the concentration of wealth or would-be Labour voters, and indeed nothing at all about how to meet the material needs of working-class people who have suffered from decades of deindustrialisation and chronic underfunding by central government. Addressing the gaping regional inequalities in power, money, and infrastructure will be key to neutralising Brexit’s ability to corrode the “red wall”. No one but the ruling class wins in a culture war.
Sargon of Akkad provides an analysis. Ms. Sarkar is clearly living in an urban bubble and clearly knows not a thing about working class Britons who live outside of the cities. Nor, likely, does she care.
One might think that facts destroying her fictional world view would be enough to cause her to pause and reflect but such appears never to be the case for members of the Radical Leftist Cult.

So now we know. Now we know what happens when you declare war on democracy. Now we know the consequences of demeaning the largest democratic vote in a nation’s history. Now we know what becomes of a political class that sneers at voters, silences their democratic voice, and libels them as racist, xenophobic know-nothings who cannot be trusted with stewardship of the nation. You get punished. You get rebelled against. You get replaced. Last night, in those extraordinary election results, we witnessed the revenge of democracy.
