   “Learning” from ex-cons is a very dangerous exercise.

   It is reported that a man took his own life this afternoon on the steps of the Alberta legislature.

   In other words, a “civil servant” paid handsomely by the Alberta NDP and Tories for doing nothing of value for decades learned not long ago that he was about to be shitcanned and lose his fat pension and benefits.

   Needless to say, he had squandered every cent he had ever stolen from Alberta taxpayers and then some, was drowning in debts racked up buying crap he didn’t need, and had never bothered to acquire any skills useful to an employer who had to turn a profit doing something useful.

   So he blew his brains out in broad daylight, hoping that everybody would agree that this was Jason Kenney’s fault.

   The premier released a statement recommending that the suicidal seek mental health counseling. It would be gauche, I presume, to suggest that when you stop feeding parasites, you soon find yourself with fewer of them.

   1. He won’t lose his pension, and possibly not his benefits. At best he would have to start collecting his pension, possibly with full benefits. At worst, he would have to wait until the proper age to collect his pension, possibly with no benefits, depends on his union contract with the government. If he was a contractor, well the onus was on him to provide his own pension.
