Blame Canada

New York Times- Russian gas flows to Germany get snarled in Canada.

A machine used in shipping Russian natural gas to Germany has been caught up in Canadian sanctions imposed against Moscow, prompting a steep drop in flows in a key Russian pipeline and contributing to a surge in European natural gas prices on Tuesday.

Gazprom, the Russian gas monopoly, said on Twitter on Tuesday that it was reducing the amount of gas it sends to Germany via the Nord Stream pipeline by about 40 percent because a turbine sent for repairs had not been returned “in due time.” It said it could not provide the amount of gas normally sent to Germany without the machine.

Winter is coming.

The Sad Reality of Trudeaupia

This was indirectly linked to earlier by one of my colleagues here on SDA but deserves a post of its own:

True North- Trudeau government drops vaccine mandates for domestic travel

The Trudeau government announced on Tuesday an end to Covid vaccine mandates for domestic travel on planes and trains, outbound international trips and federally-regulated workers.

However, the vaccine mandate for inbound international flights is still in effect. Foreign nationals coming to Canada will still be required to be vaccinated. Unvaccinated Canadians returning to Canada will still need to quarantine and provide a valid pre-entry test result.

All travellers entering Canada are still required to input their information into the ArriveCAN app within 72 hours before their arrival in Canada.

The Canadian Media Loves Our Little Justin

Forget about the petty problems of Canadians.  The media and Justin have more important things to worry about.  Dear Leader had a swell time with the president of Chile. They discussed global warming, gun control, gender equity, and whiny Indian issues.

Trudeau says world leaders should ‘keep up with changes’ as Chile undergoes mining reform

At least Justin doesn’t have to worry about airports.  Rex Murphy on flying in Canada.
