Today our Dear Leader attends the fake Question Period at the fake parliament. He then attends some sort of Indian ceremony. This evening he waves to a non existent crowd, and boards his plane for Rwanda. Just think of all the exciting costumes he can wear in Africa.
I’m still mad at Steven Harper over the lightbulbs. (CBC link)

New York Times- Russian gas flows to Germany get snarled in Canada.
A machine used in shipping Russian natural gas to Germany has been caught up in Canadian sanctions imposed against Moscow, prompting a steep drop in flows in a key Russian pipeline and contributing to a surge in European natural gas prices on Tuesday.
Gazprom, the Russian gas monopoly, said on Twitter on Tuesday that it was reducing the amount of gas it sends to Germany via the Nord Stream pipeline by about 40 percent because a turbine sent for repairs had not been returned “in due time.” It said it could not provide the amount of gas normally sent to Germany without the machine.
Winter is coming.
Three days ago Trudeau tested positive for Covid.
Except most of the free stuff was already announced over the past few months. Fraulein Freeland explained its no problem paying for stuff, because Canada’s credit rating is still good. No mention of gas prices, but she did rant how successful the carbon tax is.
Freeland touts affordability programs, but no new spending, to combat inflation

“The head epidemiologist for the government of Canada never recommended vaccination for air travel…. the never identified vaccination as a mitigation strategy”

This was indirectly linked to earlier by one of my colleagues here on SDA but deserves a post of its own:
Why are people calling Toronto’s airport the worst in the world?
Because Canada’s worst gatekeeper, Justin Trudeau, punishes the population with COVID rules designed to punish unvaccinated people—now everyone is suffering.

But don’t expect normal.
True North- Trudeau government drops vaccine mandates for domestic travel
The Trudeau government announced on Tuesday an end to Covid vaccine mandates for domestic travel on planes and trains, outbound international trips and federally-regulated workers.
However, the vaccine mandate for inbound international flights is still in effect. Foreign nationals coming to Canada will still be required to be vaccinated. Unvaccinated Canadians returning to Canada will still need to quarantine and provide a valid pre-entry test result.
All travellers entering Canada are still required to input their information into the ArriveCAN app within 72 hours before their arrival in Canada.
Is there a protest in Ottawa we’re unaware of ?
I’ve tested positive for COVID-19. I’ll be following public health guidelines and isolating. I feel okay, but that’s because I got my shots. So, if you haven’t, get vaccinated – and if you can, get boosted. Let’s protect our healthcare system, each other, and ourselves.

Ivison: Crisis of trust in the truth
You have not yet demonstrated the appropriate submissiveness: It’s possible the Liberals are now just punishing air travellers out of spite
Apparently it was just a bit of sloppy phrasing that led to the invocation of the Emergencies Act. Could have happened to anyone…
People around the world are noticing PM Justin Trudeau's extreme COVID restrictions.

Forget about the petty problems of Canadians. The media and Justin have more important things to worry about. Dear Leader had a swell time with the president of Chile. They discussed global warming, gun control, gender equity, and whiny Indian issues.
Trudeau says world leaders should ‘keep up with changes’ as Chile undergoes mining reform
At least Justin doesn’t have to worry about airports. Rex Murphy on flying in Canada.
