True North- Trudeau government drops vaccine mandates for domestic travel

The Trudeau government announced on Tuesday an end to Covid vaccine mandates for domestic travel on planes and trains, outbound international trips and federally-regulated workers.

However, the vaccine mandate for inbound international flights is still in effect. Foreign nationals coming to Canada will still be required to be vaccinated. Unvaccinated Canadians returning to Canada will still need to quarantine and provide a valid pre-entry test result.

All travellers entering Canada are still required to input their information into the ArriveCAN app within 72 hours before their arrival in Canada.

  2. WTF is the point of this if arrivecan is still in effect? The whole idea was supposed to be to stop the airport chaos but it’s mostly caused by arrivecan and the mandates on staff. Trudeau is a real piece of garbage. He’ll go down as the worst prime minister in history.

  14. It doesn’t resolve the US issue either, they still require jabbing for entry. Air flights are a no go, but land crossings stand a 50/50 shot at being waved thru.

    After looking at air travel and costs last night, to Mexico, and seeing that air miles has jacked up their rates by 50%, I’m not sure we will be flying anytime soon, despite waiting all this time to be able to.

    I’m also concerned about all the jabbed pilots and their health. Deep vein thrombosis is now a real risk thanks to the Quackzine.

        We’ve all encountered border guard Nazis, and, those we could crack a beer with. And you can’t tell by appearances, one from the other.

    Like everything else Shiny Pony has done, it is only for the sake of image.
    The fact is…..I cannot legally drive to the States.
    Another fact….even if I do fly somewhere, I cannot get back in.
    This is just for show, so the MSM can cheerlead that Dear Leader bravely ended the mandates. Brave, Brave Sir Robin.
    Because facts don’t matter. He gets to pretend that he gave back freedoms that were not his to take in the first place, and yet he still gets to vent his vindictive hatred on those who were not Compliant to his whims.
    I am beginning to think that alcohol is not a problem for me any more….it is the solution.

  17. I, a Canadian overseas, cannot practically visit my elderly parents, because I would need to quarantine for two weeks. If I brought my young kids, they would need to quarantine with me. Impossible. But if my non Canadian wife were to go to Canada, my kids would NOT need to quarantine, because she has had the two procedures and isn’t subject to punishment by my disgusting country of origin.

    I have truly come to hate Canada.

  19. BCFMWU just notified it’s members, and those on leave without pay, that they have been advised by the federal government that they will be suspending the vaccine mandate for federally regulated industries on June 20th.

    The key word is “suspending”, not repealing!

    Keep the lawsuits going!

  22. As a Michigan resident I would love to travel to Canada again (Ontario). But since I haven’t had the “vaccine ” I’m not allowed. Shame. I enjoyed visiting and shopping in Canada in the past. Now, apparently, I can’t go.
