Police say a man has been arrested after walking into a Canadian Forces recruiting office armed with a knife and allegedly stabbing two Forces members in an incident being investigated for possible terrorist activity.
Toronto Police Chief Mark Saunders says the 27-year-old walked into the office around 3:30 p.m. Monday and attacked a person in uniform behind the counter.
“The attack was unprovoked,” Saunders said Monday night outside the building at Yonge Street and Greenfield Avenue, just north of Sheppard Avenue.
“Potential terrorist activity is one of the angles we are looking at,” he added.

The police chief said the alleged attacker made remarks during the incident, but declined to elaborate or identify the man, saying only he is in hospital.
“Certain comments were made by this gentleman… that has caused some concern,” he said.

Nationals from at least 51 countries, including the UK, had to give up their most personal information as they joined the terror organisation. Only when the 23 question form was filled in were they inducted into IS.
A lot of the names and their new Islamic State names on the registration forms are well known.

Refugees Go Clubbing In Russia, Harass Girls, Wake Up In Hospital The Next Morning

The refugees tried to flee but were quickly captured by the Russians. They then took them out to the street and gave them a beating they will remember. Police arrived to break up the fight but locals report that they threw a few punches at the refugees before arresting 33 of them. Eighteen refugees were in such bad condition they had to be take to the hospital.

From the comments in the local social media, it appears, that the migrants, after the local boys decided to give them lessons in local behaviour, wanted to hide in private residences. The migrants would have ended up in bad shape, if the police did not show up on time. It is rather cold in Murmansk at this time of the year.
The police, after arriving, attempted to cool the hot heads of the locals and pacify them to prevent lynching of the migrants. Locals though insist that even the police did not have much tolerance for the migrants and with a good measure added to the result of 18 migrants ending in a hospital and 33 in a cell block of the local constabulary.

The story of Anwar Ali, the Pakistani boy who severed his own hand earlier this month, underscores the deep, dangerous and often overlooked threat posed by radical Islam–its assault on the mind.
It is gut-wrenching that a 15-year-old boy, who raised his hand at evening prayers after the local imam asked who among them did not love the Prophet Muhammad–mistakenly thinking that the cleric had asked who did love the prophet–would cut off his own hand to prove his faith to the imam, who had accused him of blasphemy after the incident.
What’s even more troubling is that, even as attempts were made to arrest the cleric, many in Khanqah, the eastern Punjab village where the spectacle occurred, defended both the imam and the boy’s actions, praising his devotion to God.
On so many levels, this story is illustrative of the disease spreading within Islam. […]
This is not just about repressive regimes and foreign-policy miscues that have helped this radicalism spread. This goes beyond the misogyny that says it’s acceptable to abuse women and the medieval customs that endorse a boy’s decision to sever his hand. This is an assault on diversity of thought and free thinking.
There is not an obvious military solution to deal with the instability and violence in the Middle East and North Africa, nor is it clear (even if we were successful in finding one) what the subsequent political resolution would be–the Arab uprisings have taught us as much. But we can all agree that radical Islam is a menace that is claiming not just lives, but hearts and minds too.
If we are fighting terrorism on all fronts then shouldn’t we be tackling the underlying ideology instead of casting this as something completely devoid of religion?
