If you’re negotiating a deal with a hostile party, it behooves you to ask who’s having who for breakfast.
The United States, as the world’s sole remaining superpower, should have had the Iranian rulers for breakfast. We should have eaten their lunch, too, while we were at it, but nope. Iran gets 100 billion dollars and we get…nothing.

I think its facile to continue to state that the US is the “world’s remaining superpower”. I don’t believe that to be true. Second, maybe third, depending on your China intel, and well behind Russia. Russia might continue to be a mess politically and economically, but no one should underestimate their military capacity.
It’s not even controversial anymore. Kerry himself says it’s going to happen.
“If we catch them funding terrorism,” he said, “they are going to have a problem with the United States Congress and other people, obviously.”
Odd he doesn’t mention the Obama Administration… No problem there, just the Congress and other people….Valerie Jarret is just fine!
Kerry may have hoped for the Peace Prize & a Presidential RUN (dump Hillary), but the truth may be that we had no choice…Forced by the UN and EU to wimp out & shut-up… allowing IRAN to trade with them…
John Fitzgerald … Kerry … and Obama KNEW EXACTLY what they were doing. They intentionally kneeled with their hands behind their heads before the Iranian Muzlim Theocracy. They voluntarily surrendered America’s national interests on the altar of Islamic appeasement. This “deal” is the final installment (I hope) of Obama’s middle eastern apology tour. Who better to deliver a supine America than JFK ? The Swiftboat War … *cough* *cough* Hero who threw his faux medals over the White House fence. This FOOL has now thrown our country over a cliff. How in THE hell did these two (and their America-hating minions) become our “leaders” … Goodbye sweet America … goodbye.
Skip, Russia has made great advances in their military technology. However, their ability to mass produce high quality matériel is simply not even close to the American’s. Think of it like a boxing match; unless you are able to deliver a quick knock-out, you had better be able to go the distance. As of now, Russia can do neither.
As to the larger issue here: “Iran gets 100 billion dollars and we get…nothing.”
What else could one expect from a rogue anti-American president who has consistently acted in bad faith?
Michael Totten nails it as usual. And as bad as the gormlessly inept John Kerry is, he’s a freaking Winston Churchill compared to Shiny Pony.
To say it another way, if the US military were given a clear, uncluttered mandate to win a war they would.
Iran doesn’t even have to build a bomb, they can buy them.
The Benghazi debacle is tied to the US moving confiscated Libyan weapons to Syrian “rebels”, including Al-Qaeda, the 9-11 murderers.
The bow heard across the world, the refusal to tie Islam to Muslim atrocities, the future must not belong to those who slander Islam.
Is it now OK to say that Obama is playing on the other team?
Boeing among others, will do ok and its suppliers will do ok.
Well, that was why Barry was put into the office of POTUS by his backers. The world is getting increasingly confusing and depressing. Canada has not escaped this treachery.
The USA is not giving Iran $100 billion. It is releasing that amount in frozen assets owned by Iran and held by the Americans since the embargo started.
Time has come for america to total’y pull out of the wretched United Nations one of Iran’s biggist supporters
The medals over the fence weren’t even Kerry’s:

…just as Kerry is throwing OUR security in the toilet … not his own. He is more than safe behind the walls of his wife’s estate(s).
The USA spent the last 35 years trying to orchestrate regime change in Iran, and it failed; it was defeated by a bunch of goat herders in Afghanistan; it toppled Saddam Husein and Khaddafi only to create failed states controlled by Islamist terrorists; it tried to topple Assad and failed because Russia finally had enough of incompetent American meddling. This “super power” needs to start focusing on the needs of the American people and stop trying to wreck the rest of the world.
End of comments… good..
John Kerry and I floated a patrol boat back down the Bon Song River, Cambodia, after supplying the Khmer Rouge with rice and weapons…
Christmas, 1968, still seared, seared, in my brain..
River boat Captain John, told me not to drink the river water because it could cause Malaria,
then he pull out a bottle of his own piss mixed with vinegar and took a big drink..
The man is tough, ruff and ready and has a spine of steel.
I feel safe at night knowing that piss breath is in charge of the Iranian Nuclear Deal..
Sleep tight tonight..
The UN and the so called super powers are dozing while the theocracy of Iran is stealthily attaining nuclear power, in fact their inaction is helping it along. We will all know about it but it will be too late.
@Steve: “The USA is not giving Iran $100 billion. It is releasing that amount in frozen assets owned by Iran and held by the Americans since the embargo started”
You took the exact words out of my mouth.
Just to be clear however, I an certainly aghast at the thought that these wack job moolas might get nukes.
Yes. And if it was ever right to freeze those Iranian assets to prevent Iran from using them for terrorism and preparations for war, it is still right to withhold them, because that hasn’t changed in Iran.
