The shimmering vision of womanliness seen above is Mr Lucy Rose Shaftain-Fenner, a filmmaker whose films are, it turns out, chiefly about himself, and whose interests include the “liberation” of Palestine, violating women’s boundaries, and “taxing wealth.”

When not declaring his personal hotness, Mr Shaftain-Fenner engages in many feats of radicalism, including cutting up Harry Potter DVDs in an attempt to reduce the number of future Harry Potter fans, intruding in women’s toilets, denouncing the misogyny and catcalling he allegedly endures, and listing his quite numerous mental health shortcomings.

So, hey, nothing to worry about, ladies.

The Department of Education has opened an investigation into the Minnesota Department of Education following reports that schools plan to use transgender dolls with interchangeable genitalia to teach children about gender identity.

“We are deeply grateful the Education Department is taking immediate action to protect Minnesota students from being subject to UMN’s appalling ‘My Gender Dolls,’” said Defending Education Founder and President Nicole Neily in a statement. “It is deeply perverse – and biologically false – to impress upon children that genitalia can be swapped out like Mr. Potato Head parts, with no lasting damage. And for the state to wrest control of these conversations from parents (while using their tax dollars to do so, no less) is truly insult to injury.”

The taxpayer-funded dolls have been described as the “first-of-their-kind” and are planned to be available in schools beginning this fall, including for children as young as four years old. The dolls have gender-neutral names and are intended to be a “therapeutic” tool to “make gender fun.” The company behind the dolls has said that they are “built to help children tell their stories and see themselves represented.”

According to Dr Donna Riley, academic rigour and the expectation of competence are “exclusionary” and tools of “privilege,” and are unfair to women and minorities, for whom rigour and competence are presumably impossible.

As Dr Riley complains that expectations of rigour generate both inequality and “white male heterosexual privilege,” presumably she would rather we erased distinctions more broadly, between ability and mediocrity, and between diligence and half-arsedness. Though her own so-called scholarship, and indeed her employment, suggest that these wishes may already be coming true.

What kind of organization threatens their volunteers?

Hello Volunteers,

It is day 2 of Fringe but we have already received some complaints regarding the use of pronouns and folks being misgendered.

Under Canadian Human Rights Legislation, using correct pronouns is recognized as a fundamental aspect of a person’s identity and dignity. Misgendering or refusing to use a person’s preferred pronouns constitutes discrimination.

We here at Fringe take this very seriously. If we receive a report of this behaviour of any kind, you will receive a warning from us. If we receive a second report, you will be removed from all of your remaining shifts and will not be invited back to volunteer with Fringe.

I have attached the Gender Inclusion Document for review. It has some helpful tips on language to use if you are unsure of someone’s pronouns.

The Thing That Never Happens nearly happened again.

Las Vegas cops busted a   transgender gunman who allegedly planned a casino massacre using a huge cache of weapons.

Allison Howlett, 36, who was born a man but lives as a woman, was arrested Saturday on charges of making terroristic threats, assault with a deadly weapon, auto theft, gun theft and other offenses.

The wild story unfolded shortly after 9:30 a.m. Saturday when Howlett’s former spouse, who is female, called police to report Howlett had stolen her car and the vehicle held numerous firearms, Henderson Police Chief Reggie Rader said.
