A Massive Earthquake in the World of Journalism

Glenn Greenwald resigns from The Intercept, which he co-founded:

Today I sent my intention to resign from The Intercept, the news outlet I co-founded in 2013 with Jeremy Scahill and Laura Poitras, as well as from its parent company First Look Media.

The final, precipitating cause is that The Intercept’s editors, in violation of my contractual right of editorial freedom, censored an article I wrote this week, refusing to publish it unless I remove all sections critical of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, the candidate vehemently supported by all New-York-based Intercept editors involved in this effort at suppression.

The censored article, based on recently revealed emails and witness testimony, raised critical questions about Biden’s conduct. Not content to simply prevent publication of this article at the media outlet I co-founded, these Intercept editors also demanded that I refrain from exercising a separate contractual right to publish this article with any other publication.

Update: Tucker Carlson interview

Say It Isn’t So, Joe!

Media that refused to report Bobulinksi story goes nuts over Tucker Carlson’s allegation Bobulinski docs were pilfered in transit: UPS Finds Mystery Tucker Carlson Package

And Carlson didn’t say they were the “only” copies.

Update:

@JamesRosenTV EXCLUSIVE: A @TheJusticeDept official confirms that in 2019, the @FBI opened up a criminal investigation into “Hunter Biden and his associates,” focused on allegations of money-laundering, and that it remains open and active today.

Margin Of Fraud

Project Veritas catches another.

Rodriguez said she develops personal relationships with senior citizens when she harvests their ballots and then uses different post offices, so that the bundles do not draw suspicion.

“So, if ya’ll are my seniors, I’m literally picking you up. I’m going to your house, you’re doing your ballot,” she said. “I go throughout the entire city. If I have a bunch of them, what I do if I have a bunch of them, I’ll take 20 [ballots] here, 30 [ballots] here, 40 [ballots] here.”

At one point during the investigation, one Project Veritas journalist paid $500 to accompany Rodriguez on her rounds to collect ballots.

In an exchange recorded with a hidden camera by a Project Veritas journalist, Rodriguez literally examined a woman’s ballot and convinced her to change her vote from Cornyn to Hegar.

Your Moral And Intellectual Superiors

Matt Taibbi;

The flow of information in the United States has become so politicized – bottlenecked by an increasingly brazen union of corporate press and tech platforms – that it’s become impossible for American audiences to see news about certain topics absent thickets of propagandistic contextualizing. Try to look up anything about Burisma, Joe Biden, or Hunter Biden in English, however, and you’re likely to be shown a pile of “fact-checks” and explainers ahead of the raw information. […]

As has been hinted at by several prominent journalists, controversies erupted within newsrooms across New York and Washington in the last week. Editors have been telling charges that any effort to determine whether or not the Biden laptop material is true, or to ask the Biden campaign to confirm or deny the story, will either not be allowed or put through heightened fact-checking procedures.

On the other hand, if you want to assert without any evidence at all that the New York Post story is Russian interference, you can essentially go straight into print.

A Trio of #FakeNews all on One Front Page!

Shown here is the front page of yesterday’s USA Today:

The 3 headlines in question are most interesting:

  1. Study predicts 500,000 US deaths [by Feb 28, 2021)
  2. Trump called protests violent.  We found majority are peaceful
  3. ‘Packing in Supreme Court’s future?

Quick analysis:

  1. One wonders if the folks at the University of Washington are using the same “model” as their disgraced English colleague, Neil Ferguson, who has a long history of scare-mongering and his predictions never being remotely accurate.
  2. There are lies, damn lies, and statistics.  USA today clearly is lying through the latter.  If one were to instead compare the number of violent protests in 2019 and compare them with the number this year, the increase would undoubtedly be gravely disturbing.  A visit to the Twitter pages of Andy Ngô and Ian Miles Cheong this past year reveal something that USA Today isn’t capable of providing: The Truth
  3. The article essentially uses the legal nomination and appointment of Amy Coney Barrett to SCOTUS as “justification” for the Far Left to pack the court however they please.  Doing so who instantly destroy the validity and reputation of the Supreme Court but, hey, when you’re trying to take apart the Fabric of America, who cares, right?

USA Today should consider renaming their non-news-paper to “The DNC’s Junior Varsity Propaganda Rag” for this would be a far more accurate description of what they have sadly become.

Say It Isn’t So, Joe

National Pulse (Raheem Kassan);

While Biden – or “the big guy” – has his real name attached to his private account for some time, it changed around early 2016, going from “Joseph Biden” to “Peter Henderson” in Hunter’s e-mails.

It is unclear whether this change was on Hunter’s end (on his devices) or on Joe’s, but Peter Henderson’s e-mails included messages such as “Keep in touch, Love Dad” and shared links – often about Hillary Clinton.

In Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan series, “Peter Henderson” is the name of a KGB mole that infiltrated the United States government.

Huh.
