Bret Weinstein is the Proverbial Canary in the Coal Mine

A few days ago Bret Weinstein sat down with Joe Rogan and they had the most engaging three hour discussion. There are so many profound things that were said. In talking about how to help young Black Americans improve their lives, Weinstein proposed that more should be done to encourage them get into the sciences. Who is at the front lines stopping this? Woke White people. About this latter group, he offered this gem:

“If you end up in Critical Theory – any one of these fields: Women’s Studies, Queer Studies, whatever it is – you have already foregone this [STEM] option. You don’t end up in Critical Theory if you have the chops to do Science. So, in effect, you have people who don’t stand to personally benefit from opening those [STEM] doors wider because they wouldn’t go through them, arguing that nobody should go through those doors.”

If you ever suspected that many Wokeratis were D-level #MathIsHard individuals with severe Daddy issues, you would be correct.

  1. I’ve only seen pieces of the Joe Rogan interview but this is the final push towards a takeover of the levers of power. They are forcing the installation of the final tranche of apparatchiks of the woke cabal. They now control academia, the culture (sports, music, social media, news and Hollywood), the bureaucracy, and now they will control the police and the final corporate holdouts who are being forced to hire the gender studies “scholars” etc to bless or “thumbs down” any of their activities.

Talk about interesting times. Even though we’ve seen it happen in history so many times before, it’s still fascinating to watch how quickly the final pieces of tyranny can fall into place.

    1. I’ve read about these episodes of “revolutionary tyrany” but it is the first time I’ve seen one up close. The last was Pol Pot; before that the “cultural revolution” bolshevikism 1848 Paris, French revolution, inquisition, the levellers Savonarola … there’s a long list.

    2. They’ll have a tough time with this when cops and the military side with conservatives, and just ignore their “power”. They will have an even tougher time once the rightwong paramilitary death squads form. We are getting close to civil war.

And it’ll be Beirut and Sarajevo.

      1. ” the rightwong paramilitary death squads form”

LOL. I’ve seen footage of these 3%er clowns. Those guys are worthless. All beergut no brains.

        1. See, you clearly haven’t studied Sun Tzu. If you had, you would know the basic military principle: never assume your opponent is always going to be worse than you.

The right wing (yup, Android sucks for typing unless you are a gender studies postdoc with little girl fingers) paramilitaries will be as effective and brutal as they need to be. Always.

Why are Mexico’s and Honduras’s rightwing paramilitaries effective? Because at some point the guys who ARE actually pretty good at this shit, came around to the same worldview.

Same is true in the US. There are plenty of Navy Seals and Army Rangers who are damn close … And people like you, UnMe, are not going to do well in the new world you have just helped usher in.

‘Cause here’s the thing: it doesn’t matter what monarch or piece of paper your armed forces swore an oath to. When it comes to loyalty, everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, is a negotiation. And the price is ALWAYS moving.

          1. “Trusting hells Angels”, I was thinking the same thing, when did we start trusting ruthless gangsters?

Worse I find myself cheering for them. That’s what this insanity had done to me, taking pleasure from the thought of ruthless bastards going to war against ruthless pathetic soi bastards.

            Did I just define schadenfreude?

        2. Deaths squads seem to have worked well for Augusto Pinochet and countless others who saved their countries from marxist filth. But keep laughing, soi boy. Just remember, he who laughs last is likely to stand on the corpses of those who laugh first.

          1. You raise a great point: because Pinochet was pretty ruthless, BUT also committed to social empowerment and employment, the death toll was light: about 6,000 dead leftists over a 20-year period. Not a bad price to pay for a stable, proseprous, civil state that is the envy of all of South America, and much of the world.

Heck Chicago is on track to beat that number in gangbanger crime alone.

It has come to that. I was content to thicken my skin and live and let live. But they just couldn’t be content with leaving people alone, to just get on with their lives. They had to start hunting people down for firings, harassment, beatings and murder.

There is a reason our parents always used to tell us to mind our own business. When you stick your nose in qhere it doesn’t belong, you get effed up. When folks like us start trusting Hells Angels more than our governments, we have a serious problem.

        3. Fucktards like UnMe should know there isn’t any or very little footage of the worthy, but hey, it’s allowed to feel safe.

  2. If young black Americans were shown that there are black Americans who are superior intellects, jurists, scientists, in fact very qualified people in all walks of life. Then teach them to emulate them, instead of glorifying black gangsters and crap rappers with “bling” . Welfare has been one of the biggest problems that blacks have faced on the democrat plantation. Take away all motivation and incentive and then wonder why things have gone to hell. Another problem is most intellectual black people are conservatives to one degree or another and that does not fit the democrat/communist pattern for a good slave.

    1. “Then teach them to emulate them”

So who’s doing the teaching, the absentee father, or the mother double shifting in the fast food joint? Everyone knows what the problem is – doing well in school is white and white is bad. There are lots of successful roll models but they are nobody’s heroes, the gangstas are.

  3. Great stuff. I am 1’40” in. Listen if you have not started yet! You may not agree with the one you thought you were going to agree with.

  4. Defund Universities’ Grievance Studies Departments.
Why do we spend our (taxpayers) money to enhance the spread of a mind virus that appears to disable if not kill the host?
These programs add absolutely nothing to western civilization except for hate and resentment.
Graduates of these programs are currently regarded as educated. We should instead see them as infected individuals and potentially contagious.

  5. Oh it was just so profound, wasn’t it? Especially when they talked about pulling over drunk drivers and “just getting them an uber” and sending them home. Real intellectual heavy weights there. Their solution to black people resisting arrest on a drunk driving stop is to make drunk driving a “ticket” and to not even send the police. Whoa guys, can’t believe we never thought of that before.

Also, the animals looting, burning, and stomping their way through these downtown areas aren’t “going into STEM” or Womens’ Studies for that matter.

    1. Yeah, that “Uber” idea is hard to take. My niece was killed by a drunk driver, her daughter too, and her son made a paraplegic. “Go and sin no more” is a famously effective cure for drunk drivers.

      1. As I watched them I felt the MADD crowd would jump on that.

Your loss was unnecessary, tragic, and yes drunk driving is criminal for a reason.

However, the point was; “Could there have been a solution, or a path to a point, where he didn’t need to get shot?”.

It was a policing conversation in a broader conversation about self-maintaining societal structures.

They were specifically talking about paths to de-escalation, not proposing a specific remedy to all drunk drivers.

If they had said; “give the dude a smoke and let him walk home” the anti-smokers would’ve spoken up and the “Atlanta is not a walkable city” types would have cried out.

        1. “Let him walk home” just says to him that what he did is tolerated and he will certainly do it again. What world do you live in?

There is a middle ground, surely, between killing him, and letting him leave scot free to potentially kill others in the future.

  6. I made my living in STEM and I think most people who do start to see that they are different in something like eighth grade math class, and that difference will have been building since elementary school. It’s way too late to pick this stuff up in college and to make up lost ground. It’s brain development. But what are you going to do. Canada and Australia already experimented with taking children out of their homes to try to raise them by western standards and those experiments are universally reviled.

I think peer mockery in elementary and secondary school, of which I received some, for sure, but was able to shrug it off, is the biggest barrier. Maybe that was “white privilege” but the reality is that without getting children to stick to math from a very young age, any program you might have to fix disparities is very likely doomed. from the outset.

Maybe no child, black, white, or brown should be allowed to leave elementary school without stone cold rote memorization of the multiplication tables, which has been shown to make the rest of math easier, but that is the opposite of the direction education is going.

    1. I remember from years ago that some southern state would not issue a drivers license to non graduates. It proved to be a mighty motivator, but I don’t know if that policy was allowed to continue.

    2. Don’t use your enemy’s vocabulary, even sarcastically, you’ve already los because they are controlling your speech.

    3. Tim, don’t use your enemy’s vocabulary, even sarcastically, you’ve already lost because they are controlling your speech.

    4. tim in vermont.

My hatred of Bill Gates is of quite recent vintage.
The earliest eruption was his involvement in Common Core.
In a recent Netflix bio (in 3 parts) he revealed that he was the top math student in AMERICA and regaled the viewer with his success with in class competition grounded in hard core rote memorization of the tables.

Then he supported the insane ‘math’ in Common Core.
The dude is all phony charity profit making AGENDA.
My recent vintage hatred was secured in the ongoing covid-response scam.

      1. We get it: you hate the successful people who made the world worth living in. That’s why you lost the culture war and will continue to and should. That and your ‘skepticism’ of COVID19 is typical of your lunacy.

          1. Nah, bro. I’m just a troll whose life is so miserable I have to get my kicks poking at those who actually live a useful existence.

        1. Wait, isn’t that Antifa’s exact manifesto?

And who is “we”? Who authorized you to speak on our behalf?

      2. Not knowing the multiplication tables cold makes learning math like running in mud.

        1. Who needs multiplication tables when one has calculators that will do that? That’s the mentality I had to deal with while I taught–er, delivered “learning”–at Armpit College (no, not the institution’s actual name, but an apt description of the place).

Worse was that thinking wasn’t restricted to my students–I mean, customers of my learning delivery.

      3. My historic dislike of Bill Gates is mostly due Windows and a more than bit due to Office.

I’m suprised that he is suddenly a ‘bad-guy’. The Gates conspiracy thing was entirely new to me until I saw a Candace Owens tweet a couple of months ago.

Looking forward to doing some digging on this this weekend.

  7. I have posted this before but here it is again. Globalism, Socialism, Progressivism, Liberalism, (note the ism) is Communism. This is creeping communism that was identified before the bolshevik revolution. Otherwise they are all COMMIE,RAT,BASTARDS.

    1. Y, it is all communism of the totalitarian sort don’t you know. Too bad the totalitarian is not used more.

  8. Fun fact: Bret Weinstein and Eric Weinstein (see immediately previous post) are brothers.

  9. Interesting so far,,and then Joe is at “ only a counterfeit twenty,,it was nothing”..Ok sign me up for that program. Being a tech school graduate working for 35 years I could use a 5lb bag of COUNTERFEIT twenties since it’s nothing . BS.

  10. This is frightening, and it’s growing. Day after in Calgary it’s march after march. On local media it’s racism all the time.

    1. I was not racist before. I am really working hard not to become one now. But I do think a TON of people are gettinng hit with the cluebat, and are only now finding out why ethnic nationalism was so widespread in the past in the first place.

      1. Please send your reparation indulgences, er cheques, to BLM c/o alecincgy. (My foundation is called Buddy Loves Money but don’t worry about it, it’ll get spent right).

  11. Canary in the mine?
Please. Early warning time was a decade ago.
Now the mine is full of methane.
They own the debate because they own the education system from grade school to university, it’s that simple.

    And remember …Demographics is Destiny.

  12. Out of curiosity, I have to ask…why did you post this? Bret Weinstein is a complete idiot. Case in point…he wants Andrew Yang to be president. By any chance, Robert…have you seen what Andrew Yang wants to do.

How about Universal Income…where the government pays you whether you work or not.

Or, how about canceling student debt?

Reparations? Is that what you find so attractive.

I’ll say it again…Bret Weinstein is an idiot. He shouldn’t be taken seriously…No one with half an addled brain would give Andrew Yang and his fantasy policy positions the time of day…

Seriously? Is this a conservative website? Is it?

    1. The Weinstein guy is obviously left leaning but the interview goes to show that leaning left and wildly virtue signalling are no protection for whitey when the rabble smells blood. The Evergreen videos were appalling with the inmates running the asylum. The sight of the teachers and the head of the college grovelling under the incoherent tirades from the students was disgusting. Why wouldn’t a conservative web site put up a video showing the fruits of trying to appease the radical left which does not want a dialogue, it just wants to take scalps.

    2. Bret Weinstein is clearly NOT an idiot. The fact that you summarily reject the totality of a person because they don’t pass some purity test is PRECISELY what the Woke Lefties do. Both them and you make me sad.

      1. Nonsense…purity test? That’s laughable. He proves in his position that supporting Andrew Yang for president that he is flawed in his ability to participate in critical thinking. I’m sure we could find some redeeming qualities of some of the worst men and women that walked the earth…but on a primary litmus test of who this guy wants making the most far reaching and important decisions of your and my life…he fails miserably.

That, in my mind, is a disqualification as an “expert” in that realm or any that touch it. He’s not a serious person.

There were a whole slew of flakes in the Democrat field for president. Andrew Yang had the distinction of being the most flaky.

        1. Incidentally, I take Tim Pool’s percipience with a grain of salt, but I think he has some valid things to say. If you do a little digging on him, you’ll find that he (at one time) was a rather vigorous supporter of Bernie Sanders. Yes, Tim Pool was a rabid Bernie Bro. He’s since seen the light and moved away from that position to some extent, but not in total.
