Mischievous Prosecution

Three years and millions of dollars later, it is now clear that the process was the actual punishment.

’Freedom Convoy’ organizer Pat King was sentenced to three months of house arrest in an Ottawa court this morning.

It comes on top of nine months he spent in custody both before and during his trial.

King’s lawyer had this to say about the eager beavers on the prosecution side:

The 10-year sentence sought by the Crown would have made King “a political prisoner”, she said. “They would be sentencing Mr. King for the sum total of everything that was done by every individual in the Freedom Convoy.”

A Culture in Decline

The fact that only around a third of Canadians found the pandemic measures excessive is troubling. One must assume that the other two thirds were either okay with the measures or felt they were insufficient.

Thirty-six per cent of Canadians agree with the notion that government reactions to the pandemic were exaggerated, according to the poll by Leger for the Association for Canadian Studies (ACS).

People in the Prairies and Alberta were more likely to have a negative perception of the decisions taken by government. Forty-seven per cent of Albertans and 45 per cent of Manitoba and Saskatchewan respondents agreed the COVID response was exaggerated.

But the “much too much, almost zealotry, related to being vaccinated” also came back to haunt public health officials, said Bowman, who has spoken out about how the unvaccinated were demonized as right-wing radicals. The vaccine passports and mandates had a politically polarizing impact, creating an “us-vs-them” mentality, he said.

One Flu Out Of The Wuhan Nest

Eric Daugherty;

MAJOR FINDINGS:
– The NIH funded gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab.
– The Constitution can’t be suspended in times of crisis.
– COVID emerging from a lab leak is “not a conspiracy theory.”
– EcoHealth and Dr. Peter Daszak should “never again” receive taxpayer funds.
– Public health officials have lost the trust of the people.
– Trump’s Operation Warp Speed was a success.
– The COVID response was “rampant” with fraud, waste and abuse.
– “The prescription cannot be worse than the disease,” lockdowns had horrific consequences.

47: Dr Jay Bhattacharya to Director of the National Institutes of Health.

BBC;

US President-elect Donald Trump has picked a leading Covid lockdown sceptic Jay Bhattacharya to be the next director of a key US public health agency.

Trump said he had selected the Stanford University-trained physician and economist to lead the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the world’s biggest government-funded biomedical research entity.

Bhattacharya became the face during the pandemic of a fiercely disputed open letter – known as the Great Barrington Declaration – that opposed widespread lockdowns.

Greenwald: Stanford’s @DrJBhattacharya was one of the most highly credentialed experts to contest COVID orthodoxies: including the harms of lockdowns, mask efficacy, and dangers to young people. For it, he was censored by Big Tech and widely maligned. Now, he’s running Fauci’s NIH

“the Board of Directors of SIGA Technologies terminated Dr. Jay Varma, effective immediately”

Sorry guys. We didn’t make the new rules, but those are the new rules.

“Varma boasted about harassing people into submission over the vaccine mandate and admitted to participating in illegal sex parties, all while he, former Health Commissioner Dr. David Chokshi, and then-Mayor Bill de Blasio imposed draconian measures that shut down the entire city,” the Queens Democrat said.

“The hypocrisy is outrageous.”

Varma’s seamy chats — which included him boasting, “I did all this deviant, like sexual stuff,” and, “I had to be kind of sneaky about it … because I was running the entire COVID response in the city” — were made public last week by conservative podcaster Steven Crowder.

Lockdown Hangovers

The economic damage caused by the lockdowns was bad enough and obvious to most, but there’s another side to that travesty that is less talked about.

The lockdown babies are now starting school, and the impact of their extraordinary early days is stark. “There’s a school in Birmingham where more than half the children entering [Reception] were still wearing nappies,” says Paskins. “Before the pandemic there might have been one or two. Now more than half have that developmental delay, and what that means in terms of how children are able to learn and function.”

The other thing that was really bad about Covid and the lockdown was that we were threatened with the idea that if we passed it on to somebody, we’d almost be responsible for their death. It just made life so miserable.”

She adds: “A lot of people have never really quite recovered. I would say it took me at least two years, and even now lots of my friendships are impacted.”

Caught on video: Former NYC Covid Czar Held Secret Drug-Fueled Sex Parties During Global Pandemic

Dr. Jay Varma, Former Senior Advisor for Public Health, NYC Mayor’s Office:

“I had to be kind of sneaky about it…I was running the entire Covid response for the city…we rented a hotel…we all took like, you know, molly[E*stasy/MDMA] … 8 to 10 of us were in a room…like just being naked with friends…”

“We went to some like, underground dance party… underneath a bank on Wall Street… We were all rolling…”

“This was not Covid-friendly.”

“I did all this deviant, sexual stuff while I was you know, like on TV and stuff…”

“The only way I could do this job for the city was if I had some way to blow off steam every now and then.”

I Want A New Country

The Supreme Court Of Shut Up And Do As You’re Ordered, Peasant.

Let’s call this what it is: a shocking abandonment of judicial duty and a blatant disregard for Canadians’ fundamental rights. The Supreme Court of Canada has just refused to hear two critical cases that challenged the federal COVID vaccine travel mandate. This isn’t just a legal technicality. It’s a clear message from the highest court in the land: “We’re not interested in defending your freedoms. We’d rather sidestep controversy and protect government overreach.”

The cases in question, Peckford et al. v. Canada and Hon. Maxime Bernier v. Canada, were crucial tests of the limits of government power. The Honourable Brian Peckford, the last living signer of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, and Maxime Bernier, leader of the People’s Party of Canada, stood up to challenge the draconian mandates that the Trudeau government imposed. These mandates effectively barred unvaccinated Canadians from traveling — a blatant violation of mobility rights under the Charter. Yet, the Supreme Court has chosen to declare these cases “moot,” arguing that since the mandates have been lifted, there’s no point in reviewing their legality.

Mischief Makers

Closing arguments are finally being heard in the freedom convoy court case centering on charges of mischief. The trial was supposed to take a couple of weeks but wound up lasting nearly a year. That’s in addition to varying periods of incarceration for the defendants since early 2022. It’s anyone’s guess as to what it cost the prosecution to pursue the case.

Lich and Barber’s lawyers have argued throughout the trial that organizing a protest is not an illegal activity and is protected under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

The court has scheduled three days to hear the final arguments in the case, as well as several extra days next week in case they go long.

Honoring Dictators

Given the disastrous outcomes of Covid pandemic policy and the massive backlash that it created, one would think that governments would go out of their way to avoid giving too much notice to those responsible for such fiascos, but apparently the government of Manitoba thinks otherwise.

Manitoba’s chief public health officer, Dr. Brent Roussin is a physician, law school graduate, and familiar face to Manitobans as the province’s top public health authority and spokesperson during daily COVID-19 pandemic news conferences. A specialist in public health and preventive medicine, Dr. Roussin also brings an understanding of administrative law that was particularly helpful during the province’s COVID-19 response.

Functionaries like Roussin basically assumed the role of provincial dictator and divided their fiefdoms between “essential” and “non-essential” businesses, bankrupting many in the process. They also implemented such inanities such as restaurant masking rules and, in Manitoba, the bizarre measure that one could only golf with members of one’s household. Why do some insist on honoring such fools?

Whatsisname’s Britain

Where the foxes caper unmolested, the government packs your school lunch and they give you fair warning*, “…either you or your head must be off.”

I am here today because OfCom, the media watchdog agency, concluded that my presentation of information from scientific reports about the Pfizer injection, on Mark Steyn’s TV show in October 2022, caused “harm.” Ofcom also referred to me in public documents as a “conspiracy theorist,” using that discrediting characterization of my work, as part of its decision to penalize Steyn for airing the show in which I brought forth the evidence I did.

I wish to describe to the court please the nature of the evidence I presented on GBNews. I then wish to describe my credentials, and lastly, I wish to make some points about the history of censorship.

Coffee time: Was “Dr” Michael Mosley a spook who faked his own death?

For those who are unaware, which likely includes most non-UK readers (although I can see it’s hit the headlines in the US), for the last several days, the UK media has been gripped in a feverish and high-octane state of excitement, as “TV doctor” Michael Mosley – famed for his diet books, and more recently, contributions to Covid hysteria – suddenly went missing whilst on holiday in Greece.

Conspiracy Theory Turns Spoiler Alert

Trust the experts.

In a shocking revelation, the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Dr. Hanna Nohynek admitted that COVID-19 vaccine passports may have been a scam.

During a recent testimony in a Helsinki courtroom, Nohynek—a chief physician at the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare and serves as the WHO’s chair of the Strategic Group of Experts on immunization — suggested that vaccine passports were part of a plan to advance the global vaccine agenda. She also claimed that the WHO knowingly endorsed the Covid mRNA jab despite being fully aware of their limited efficacy against the virus.

She said the Finnish Institute for Health knew by mid-2021 that the COVID-19 vaccines did not stop virus transmission. Despite this, the WHO still pushed the jab on the public and punished those who refused to obey their vaccine mandates.

During that time, the WHO said it was working to “create an international trusted framework” for safe travel while EU regions were just beginning to enforce COVID passports for anyone wanting to dine in a restaurant, see a movie, or go to the gym, and among other things.

Half the planet could see by mid-2021 that “COVID-19 vaccines did not stop virus transmission” because of a peculiar cognitive function known as “my own lyin’ eyes”.
