The purpose of the lockdowns was not to save lives. It was to limit the rate of patient ingress into the hospital system. The lockdowns did not save lives, it cost them severely. The lockdowns caused huge increases in deaths by suicide, drug and alcoholism abuse, family and spouse abuse, assaults, and depression. It also caused a huge wave of business collapses and bankruptcies in the small business sector. It cratered the economy and caused a wave of shortages of all kinds (except BS from government-owned propaganda companies.)
The question is why does the BBC imagine that it can lie so blatantly? We were there, MOFOs.
In the US, a multi decade push to get people to go for cancer screenings had led to a situation by Mar 2020 where about 150,000 people would be diagnosed each month and 90,000 would survive.
Then, everything was just stopped.
The number of excess cancer deaths due to Covid hysteria has got to be very high.
