    1. The only solution for those dull-witted enough to buy $30k in solar panels … just to find their panels only help them in the summer for running the ac … is to add battery storage. All my solar neighbors are buying Tesla Powerwall-3 batteries. Ea battery can store (theoretically) 13.5 kWh. The average home uses 30 kWh/day … so, yes my neighbors are installing TWO Tesla Powerwalls (min.) with a labeled capacity of 27 kWh

      These TWO Tesla Powerwalls are costing my neighbors > $30k (before any tax credits) … so their new solar panels are costing them about $30k (for enough panels to generate minimum electricity) and the Tesla batteries another $30k for a total system cost of >$60k.

      Uh oh! The Tesla batteries and the solar panels only have a serviceable life of about 15 years before rapidly degrading. So you better be saving $4k per year in PG&E bills just to break even. And yeah … the electrical systems and components are another expense and ongoing maintenance issue.

      Nope. I don’t have solar, or any plans to get solar.

      1. Those who acquire Chinese mirrors only look at the power bill from the utility company. These morons cannot figure out that Chinese mirrors must be replaced long before they finally pay for themselves.

  3. Co2 is not a pollutant.

    It all comes down to the absolutely flawed, unscientific, nonsense spewed out of Obama’s EPA that Co2 “endangers” life on the planet. Rubbish. But the same SCOTUS who certified Obamakkare as a legal TAX on the American people … not an illegal socialist healthcare plan … determined that the EPA are “the experts” … so Co2 MUST endanger human life, and should be regulated and punished.

    Not to worry though … Trump 2.0 is on it, and the EPA is rescinding the “endangerment” finding within days …

  4. I have solar panels that connect to the grid – outflow and inflow configured. My hydro bill is less than $600 a year – that is for everything: heat and lights, plugs, hot water – the works. I live in a northern climate. I received a $5K rebate and an interest free loan to procure and install them. Free money! Otherwise I would not have done it. It has been worth it in my estimation.

      The government took money from me to give to you so that you would do something that doesn’t make sense.

      May be worth it to you but not to me or society at large.

    2. Good thing you don’t live in CA where PG&E has done away with virtually all buyback of solar energy. And what they do buyback is at the rate of a few pennies per kWh compared to peak, upper tier charges of $0.47/kWh.

      And get back to me in 15yr when your solar panels become near useless … just like all those solar panels of the 1970’s that were torn off roofs by the 1990’s because they were useless and replacing them made no economic sense.

      Fact is … that residential solar only became a thing under Jimmy Carter, and then again under Barrack Obama … because government subsidy. And those subsidies are all going to Communist China’s solar panels as we make no panels here in America that can compete with Chinese slave labor and lack of environmental regulations … see: Solyndra bankruptcy.

      Good luck with your temporary ‘green’ energy system.

      Government has no money of it’s own. Government produces nothing.
      All of the money that government has, was taken from taxpayers—at gun point. All of it.
