Meet the new basic dictatorship, same as the old basic dictatorship: Yesterday we saw @NatashaMontreal beat down by cops in Montreal; today we learn that @MeghanEMurphy’s bank accounts have been frozen, thus preventing her from returning home to Vancouver as a candidate for the federal election.

Last month, I decided to run as a Canadian Member of Parliament, and began to publicize my decision to run for the People’s Party of Canada (PPC)—the only party truly committed to fighting for freedom and women’s sex-based rights.

My candidacy was confirmed officially on Tuesday. That same day, I tried to access my bank account and could not. I contacted my bank, Vancity, and was informed the account had been frozen as per direction from the government. I had accessed my account just two days prior, so the timing was clear. I had not been informed of this freezing by anyone — not the bank, not the government. No one attempted to contact me. I was completely blindsided.

When I contacted my bank they refused to give me any information beyond the fact they were following government orders, and they gave me a number and name to contact. I called the number, and got a voicemail saying the employee was on vacation all week. So basically this guy froze my bank account and immediately went on vacation.

“I was in Wuhan in the fall of 2019 at the World Military Games. A significant number of the team, and I myself, contracted COVID and became very, very ill.”

With that statement, delivered in confidential testimony to The Bureau, a Canadian Armed Forces member added his voice to one of the most powerful emerging revelations in the global search for the origins of COVID-19. His account closely matches the U.S. Department of Defense’s newly declassified conclusion that seven American soldiers fell ill with COVID-like symptoms during the same October 2019 military competition in Wuhan, China.

The American military investigation was ordered by Congress in 2021 but kept from the public until a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit forced its release. Critics now say the Biden administration suppressed the findings, which suggest U.S. intelligence agencies had early evidence of a viral outbreak tied to the Games.

The Canadian soldier believes voters deserve to know that CSIS—Ottawa’s civilian intelligence agency—also assessed that Canadian military athletes were infected in Wuhan, and that the Trudeau government chose not to inform the public. “Yes, CSIS and a number of other such organizations did interview members of the contingent,” he said of his experience upon returning to Canada. “They were professional and concerned only with facts. But when completing their interviews, they let it be known that their work and report would be suppressed.”

Why?

His testimony now stands alongside a torrent of new disclosures—including a bombshell release from the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency—that together appear to draw a new, starker picture of what happened in Wuhan and how it may be linked to dangerous Canadian research.

The Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) is touted as an “independent philanthropic organization” according to its website, spending £618,739,409 (approximately $1.05 billion CAD) on charitable causes in 2021 according the Government of the United Kingdom’s website. A behemoth of an entity with billions of dollars in assets, it is one of the largest philanthropy-based organizations in the world, parented by The Children’s Investment Fund Management, which naturally has a holding company located in the Cayman Islands. It was founded in 2002 by billionaire activist hedge fund manager Sir Christopher Hohn. The charity was managed by Hohn’s wife before being handed over to a CEO, who is now Kate Hampton, a main player in the formation of the 2016 Paris Accords, which pledged to, among other things, keep the rise in global temperature below 2°C (but preferably under 1.5°C) to mitigate the harmful effects of climate change.

Kate Hampton, a WEF Young Global Leader, also sits as a Council Member on the [China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development]. The CIFF’s involvement with this CCP-led environmental “think-tank” doesn’t end there though. Lei Hongpeng of CIFF works with her, acting as a Special Advisor to the organization. The charity is seemingly intricately involved with the CCICED, co-hosting conferences held by Energy Foundation China (EFC) to discuss pressing matters such as “China’s Role in Global Climate Governance.” Energy Foundation China is led by CEO and President Professor Ji Zou, another WEF member who negotiated the Paris Accords, who coincidentally also sits as a Special Advisor to the CCICED. Energy Foundation China was formerly a part of the Energy Foundation, an organization operating under the direction of the vast umbrella of the Chinese government. It’s Beijing location is reportedly registered with the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau, an entity tasked with a broad array of domestic national security activities, and answers to the National Development and Reform Commission, a department aforementioned in this article as being formerly run by Vice-Chairman Xie Zhenhua, who now leads the CCICED. The incestuous overlapping nature of the members of these bodies cannot be understated, nor are they fully explored in this article. EFC has a rather simplistic mandate as noted by Influence Watch: to assist the People’s Republic of China to become “the world leader in clean energy production,” particularly in the areas of wind and solar energy generation. The unreliables, that is. The ones that China desperately wants to provide us with. Do we see where this is going?

As Canada’s snap election unfolds under the shadow of foreign interference—following the resignation of a Liberal MP accused of suggesting his Conservative rival could be handed to Chinese officials for a bounty—The Bureau has uncovered new allegations that Chinese agents attempted to intimidate voters and the Conservative incumbent in the same Markham–Unionville riding during the 2021 federal campaign. According to multiple senior figures from Erin O’Toole’s 2021 Conservative campaign—who spoke on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of intelligence disclosures—O’Toole’s team was briefed by Canadian intelligence that Chinese officials were actively surveilling Saroya during the election. One source recalled being told that “there were Chinese officials following Bob Saroya around,” and that “CSIS literally said repeatedly that this was ‘coordinated and alarming.’”

“Bob lost because the Chinese vote abandoned him,” the source added.

When asked to respond, O’Toole—who stepped down after the 2021 loss—acknowledged awareness of voter intimidation reports but did not say whether CSIS had informed his team about alleged Chinese surveillance targeting Saroya.

“Our candidate Bob Saroya was a hardworking MP who won against the Liberal wave in 2015,” O’Toole wrote. “He won in 2019 as well, but thousands of votes from the Chinese Canadian community stayed home in 2021. We heard reports of intimidation of voters. We also know the Consul General from China took particular interest in the riding and made strange comments to Mr. Saroya ahead of the election. It was always in the top three of the eight or nine ridings that I believe were flipped due to foreign interference. The conduct of Mr. Chiang suggests our serious concerns were warranted.”
