  1. I suppose it’s who you ask.

If you ask a hard core right wing redneck Albertan separatist, of course it’s all true and infringing on their freedom.

If you ask a left wing commie pinko elbows-up retard in Ontario, of course it’s all true as it will make life easier for everyone.

  2. As an American, I welcome any of you to come to our country for liberty and freedom. We have our problems as well but our states have more power than your provinces to protect your rights, plus the first and second amendments were put there precisely to give the middle finger to tyrants and busy bodies.

I suggest avoiding the Left Coast, New England, The mid Atlantic States, Illinois, Minnesota and Hawaii. The rest should be fine.

    1. I would give my left nut, and a kidney, to be able to move to Wyoming. Maybe Mr Trump can make a deal inviting Straight White Anglo Christian Males to enjoy the freedom he provides.

The Panamanian Pensionado Visa seems much more doable right now though.

      1. Hubby and got our Pensionado just 3 weeks ago. Outta here in Sept just as soon as the house closes.

    2. The one thing missing from that poster is Canada’s “Exit Tax”.

It’s the financial wall around the maple gulag that prevents us from escaping to the warm blanket of 1A and 2A protections in your wonderful land.

Gad Saad fled Montreal recently for the US and wrote extensively on it.

For retirees such as myself it would bankrupt us to move to the US – the exit tax, the difference in the dollar, and healthcare costs for aging folks make it impossible to escape these growing atrocities against our freedom up here.

      1. Healthcare costs for people of Social Security/Medicare age are not prohibitive. Good Medicare Advantage supplements can be had for either a low or no monthly premium (mine is $9/ month. Granted there are co-pays for various things, but most are low, particularly if you can use generic versions of whatever drugs you take.

        1. As I understand it, if you haven’t been paying into it you would have to buy your way in to Part A. Don’t know how much that costs.

        2. Unless …JS … you live in Contra Costa County, CA … I had a GREAT $0 Advantage plan that was accepted by all my physicians, Clinics, and Hospitals in the Muir Group. Then, this past year they pulled out. This area is too damn expensive for them. There was one alternative plan, but none of my Doctors would take it … and I would have to change all my Doctors.

As it is … we’ve gone with straight Medicare with a high-deductible supplement that is still not prohibitively costly … but is $1k/yr. for both of us … plus much higher copays. It works for us, because we’re mostly healthy … but the Advantage Plan was MUCH better.

Yeah, we need to move OUT of this CA hellhole. I’ll just have to get used to … weather.

      1. “When is tax freedom Day?”

Canada Tax Freedom Day was June 9th this year. USA Tax Freedom Day was in April.

The more you know, the more you know.

    3. Not as easy as you would think.
Family of this family here is legally working in the big state in the south.
They have the hardest time getting even the green card, and that is rather expansive too.
The bottom feeders made laws and regulations where they can squeeze the blood out of you.
Anyway, after some 4 years they are still working on it.
Told them, while Biden was in charge, they should have taken a detour through Mexico, they might have been in the clear now.

  3. Like virtually all bankrupt welfare states in transition to tyranny, Canada is no slacker and “democracy” is the “form of the destroyer” (meme acknowledgements to Aykroyd and Ramis). Fascism (state and crony capitalism all under the dead hand of the state) is increasingly the dominant system globally but like all mixed economies, it is blended with socialism. Free market capitalism now only exists in underground economies. Short answer: Yes.

  4. Yes. These warnings should be heeded, based on these very complimentary bills that dovetail each other very well.
Ironic that many other Euro countries have just passed similar censorious, restrictive speech laws this year, very similar in nature.
Our social media posts are now scrutinized under these new definitions of “hate speech”. I suspect that our fscist government is going to make some very public examples of very public conservative personalities very soon.
    Ezra?
    Moose?
    Jasmine?
    Marty?
    Northern Perspective?
They are coming after conservatives because One Party CCP style rule is what these laws are designed to do.

  5. You forgot that Carnage passed an order in council allowing extrajudicial prosecution and imprisonment by ministerial order, with no avenue of appeal. One of his first acts as Prime Minister.

    1. What self-respecting truly fascist regime would be without political prisoners?

  6. Over the past few decades, I’ve been very outraged/alarmed by the penalties given by various “human rights” boards across Canada. i wonder if these new bills will make these previous penalties look like child’s play?!

  7. The biggest one and most important one is missing…and ironically, it is the first that needs to be addressed before any of the others:

The State financed and controlled media. They control by misinformation, omission, and gaslighting. They provide cover to those wanting control, and attack those that challenge them (no matter how meek the challenge). They sway views. They mislable political ideology. They shut down competitors (CBC vs. Real Talk Politiks). They hide details on criminals. The list is endless, and until media is returned to private control, it is mere propaganda. EFFECTIVE propaganda.

The strongest defense you have against a controlling government is knowledge. Because knowledge leads to opinion. Opinion leads to movement.

    1. “Opinion leads to movement.”

I too had a nice bowl of opinion for breakfast. Oh no, wait, that was prunes.
If the government criminalizes all of those things, we’re gonna need guns.

Vote for an Independence referendum this October, Alberta.
It’s the only way you’ll have an opinion that counts.

  8. Aren’t all you Canadians PROUD to live in a country where “hate” is illegal? You all live in a ”hate-free” country … while I am condemned to live where FREE SPEECH allows people to hate-speech me.

    Ohhhhhhhhh mommmaaaaaaaa

I wish we had LAWS to protect my delicate feelings.

  9. Its worse.
    Way worse.
The Forever Government won’t do whatever it can to control the mob, because it can now do whatever it wants.
What the Forever Government wants, it gets.
This is just the tip of the iceberg and most Retardians are either ambivalent or ignorant.
Whoever is putting it out there on social disease media – good for them – is getting a CSIS file.
    Shithole.

    1. “The Forever Government won’t do whatever it can to control the mob…”

      This sentence is confusing.

“Whoever is putting it out there on social disease media – good for them – is getting a CSIS file.”

We all have CSIS files. All of us. CIA files too.
I saw my RCMP file back when the Horsemen had the Spy/Security portfolio. Legal issue.
I was a nobody then and I’m a nobody now.
It’s a good thing they don’t have enough warm bodies to give us individual real attention.
They’ll be relying on us to rat each other out. Collaborators.
