The argument is not that atheism automatically assures reason…you’ve extrapolated that. It’s that religion does not encourage reason, it encourages faith. I’m sure you could list just as many religious dictators…

What you haven’t taken into account is that dictators are threatened by ANY organized group other than their own…so the fact that organized religion is a no-no shouldn’t be surprising. You’re also not taking into account that dictators most likely see themselves as a god-like figure…which is even more irrationally faith based than having a religious denomination.
