  1. What we are seeing here is the actual “Green Shift” – make nice (cooperate) with the Green party, then shift their votes to Liberals.
Meanwhile, drop any and all references to THE Green Shift, until called on it by media; then, rather than talk about possible delay, Mr Dion, fresh from his three takes with ATV, stubbornly talks about implementing carbon tax (after all doubling price of fuel oil didn’t get Canadians excited enough about tidal power; perhaps this will).
Elizabeth May, notwitstanding possible (unproven) collusion with Liberals on cabinet position from Senate, has clearly told Green members to forgo their $2/vote/year (as Deputy Leader Bud something or other clearly stated, then gave salute to big red machine for pulling wool over their eyes).
What other conclusion is possible? Has she been offered something? Is she stupid? Is she disloyal to the party she leads?
Wait a minute, the answer can be yes to all the above.

  2. So, there is talk of a coalition government. What, pray, is the national emergency that requires a coalition government? The last time there was one in the UK, a certain Mr. Hitler was the reason.
Is a Harper government such an emergency for the left …. Oh, wait, now I get it. The emergency is the liberal establishment being weakened. Good I say!
The correct response to that idea is: If you wanted to form a government on that basis, you should have told the public, rather than play charades with the public.

  3. Watched the full election coverage on the National. The story originally broken by Bourque was, of course, not mentioned. I guess CBC couldn’t reach Chernushenko or any other disaffected Greens who are upset with May’s sellout. No mention at all, just a glowing report of May… serving up turkey dinner for the community and talking about how she hopes to win Central Nova.
As well, no mention of today’s developments with regards to the Cadman tape… But it was a top story Saturday for CBC when experts agreed with Zytaruk and the Liberals.
As mentioned above… your hard-earned tax dollars at work.

  4. I liked the national party oppo explaining, as diplomatically as possible, to the bimbo that she does not set national party policy.
However, he has a problem; it appears that Elizabeth May does set national party policy.
This year is quite remarkable for political cynicism. I’ve seen a grandmother thrown under the bus, now we have a political party thrown under the bus.

  5. “Gosh, that Larissa Shasko has a truly annoying, grating voice. Hopefully she will move to New York City; she’d fit right in there, and we’d be well rid of her.”
Right on. I think she’s on a helium high.

  6. I went over to the votefor green thingie and clicked on the Yukon riding. The ‘experts’ over there say this is a Liberal powerhouse (remember who is paying the bills up here, the ROC, if the lazy Liberano wins) so I have their permission to ‘vote with my heart’. Very odd considering that I might be a nasty Conservative and vote for Darrell Pasloski (CPC,) the one man who has EARNED my support. The CPC has been very supportive of the Yukon since they won a minority in parliament – the Yukon has been sitting back (kind of like Quebec!) and taking the $$ of other regions with both outstreched hands.
Darrell has a plan to make the Yukon productive, if he loses this election – consider the other ‘little spoiled brat mentality’ in Western Canada. Let your Conservative M.P.s know that you know about this mind-set and your stong objection to it.

  7. CBCpravda withholding the story that the Cadman tape was doctored and then rerecorded.
CTV has it,but pravda has not.
a big investigation has to go into the public paid newcaster for it obvious bias on this election right from Heather Malice thru to the Julie Van Dusen save Borat Dion, and the encouraging of people to vote strategically to defeat the Conservatives. there is a lot to be answered for.

  8. Come the eventual majority, knife the CBC. But gently, of course.
Sell it to Friends of the CBC for $1.
Let them pay for their precious scum-bucket lefty whoring.

  9. Hey gang,
Where can I get a primer on Canada politics. What is a “riding” for example.
I follow you guys from Kansas, because I see where our country is headed, and I like to see how you guys fight the good fight.

  10. Who gets the taxpayer’s $1.75 per vote if any elected Greens immediately cross the floor to the Liberals after being elected?

  11. Burpnrun said: Clip seems to be getting a lot of accesses right now, so busy. Genest is very pissed!
I’ve been watching all of Mike Duffy plus some, yet I’m still unable to load the Claude Genest segment whenever it follows in the queue. Very annoying.

  12. Hey lawnguy, as described a riding is like an electoral district. There are 309 (approx) ridings in Canada. They are set up according to population and geography. Each riding elects an MP(Member of Parliament). Candidates can either be independant or a member of a party. There are 3 main parties in Canada, the Liberals, the Conservatives and the NDP, liberals being somewhat left of centre, NDP being quite left and Conservatives being right of center. There are also a few other insignificant parties. The Prime Minister is also elected as an MP and the party with the most MPS is the governing party. Each party elects a party leader and if that party forms the government the leader(if elected as an MP) becomes the primeMinister. We can have majority governments(where the governing party has more elected MPS than the other parties combined) or minority governments where the governing party has fewer seats than the other parties combined.
Incidently in Canada, as opposed to your country, all ridings elect an MP under the same rules so while we still have some corruption its nothing like your country where every state is different.
Thats a short glimps of what we have. Hope it is somewhat enlightening for you.

  13. Larissa the anorexic who likes to eat and than throw up. If she ever got elected we should all throw up.
She is the biggest goofball of all.

  14. What a retard that little girl is!! Don Mitchell, the NDP guy, has been in politics for years and years and years. He knows that things like this have to be cleared with the party brass at elections central headquarters. This retard posing as a serious candidate just embarrassed her party big time, not to mention herself, and she doesn’t even know it.

  15. This gal is a piker!
First she can’t string a coherent sentence together.
I laughed when the NDP candidate, with crossed arms body language, has to explain the basics of what it means to represent your party to the riding at the local level.
Larissa is a rube, no one invents policy on the fly, by pulling a rabbit out of an ad hoc hat.
I can see it now, 308 MPs all running around, spouting off new directions for the country to go to.
Yes the EVIL GENIUS OF STEPHEN HARPER must be stopped at all costs!
Greens are in the tank for the LIEberals, per so called strategic voting.
This is what most people would recognize as a shameless attempt at the GREEN SHAFT.
Either you can convince people your idea has merit or it does not. The back door greening of Canada has been exposed via the LIEberal party.
This is plain old collusion for a predetermined outcome. No more, no less.
This kind of manipulative clap trap should be given the proper kick in the backside it deserves.
The NDP candidate had her trash ‘dead to rights.’
Y’all have a nice day, now run along and bowdlerize the electoral process somewhere else.

  16. Lawnguy:
One other thing – if you look at Canadian ridings, you’ll see they are all fairly regular in their boundaries, as opposed to some US districts that resemble something drawn by Jackson Pollock. However, while most US electoral districts have roughly the same number of voters, in Canada the numbers differ wildly. My riding, in suburban Toronto, is one of the largest in the country with 88,000 voters; there are other ridings in the northern part of the country which only have 5,000 voters. It’s nice to know that my vote is only worth 1/17 of some other voters.

  17. this attempted election rigging is one of the most blatant things that CBCpravda has put on ignore.

  18. The sad thing is, Larissa likely doesn’t even fully understand why she dislikes the Conservatives so much.

  19. Gord, my experience is that 9 times out of 10, non conservatives dont have a clue why they hate conservatives. One of my friends has actually been forbidden from saying any word that has to do with politics (Including sex scandal, gun registry or green party) because the rest of us got sick of him calling us nazis because we support our conservative candidates. The day that I find a liberal supporter who is willing to listen and has an honest reason for disliking conservatives (that doesnt include the words nazi or George Bush, whom I also support, or something equivilant to either) I will probably fall over dead from shock.
