So, given this, doesn’t that then mean the opposite of this?
The importance of the loss of sea ice is twofold – first, it shows undeniable evidence of global warming, and second, it reduces albedo.
A long interview but very informative:
Meet Montreal’s most dangerous man, Lawrence Klepper. Charles Adler shakes his head and asks his audience for insight in this matter.

CNN founder and UN benefactor Ted Turner:
“We’ll be eight degrees hotter in 30 or 40 years and basically none of the crops will grow…Most of the people will have died and the rest of us will be cannibals.”
So then, what’s he doing in the meantime?
Turner shuttles endlessly among his 28 properties…..traveling hundreds of thousands of miles per year on his private Challenger jet.
In tonight’s musical amusement en route to the Tips, vaudevillian Edward Israel Iskowitz, aka Eddie Cantor, says Cheer Up, Smile, Nertz!”.

This one really put a burr under my saddle. The arrogance of the Forbes author enrages me. I’m not putting this link up here to get traffic, I’m putting it up here because 1) I don’t want to write twice and 2) any of you Canadian or American Latch-Key kids will also have your blood boiling.
Will SDA get results?
Thank you for your time, last post for a while. Didn’t want to monopolize SDA, but this one just really chaffed my hide.
A Republican man in New Mexico wanted to show how easy he thought it was to commit voter fraud. So the Albuquerque man did just that…by registering his dog, Buddy, to vote.
“This is Buddy, a three year old labrador. Now he’s also a registered Democrat…”
(The owner) said he was trying to expose the problems with the registration system. He said he just received the dog’s voter registration card in the mail Wednesday, and it was way too easy.
“They should verify. Somebody should have verified this information and somebody should have come out and took a look at exactly who it was.”

Take a look at some of the comments being posted to this heartfelt video by Steven Crowder:
The CWB has had its tantrum and been told to go to their room. Now that they’re back at the kitchen table, surprise, they discover that capitalism actually works.
“We are very pleased that Cargill, as a forward-looking company in the western Canadian grain industry, has become the CWB’s first handling partner,” said wheat board president Ian White.

It’s a good thing though, we don’t need the pollution.
If you ever needed evidence that not all Republicans are fiscally conservative, look no further than Maryland Congressman Roscoe Bartlett who has lent his support to the “Stache Act” which would give men a tax deduction of up to $250 a year for facial hair grooming.
30yr olds can’t afford birth control.
She’s going to have to put the Georgetown’s Comptroller on speed dial though, after all, before she spreads them she going to need to find out if the payment will be in cheque, cash or credit card.
No, Michelle, she’s not a slut. There’s another word for people who ask for money to have sex.
Remember though, it’s for the children.
Speaking of driving, how does a school trustee rack up over $10,000 in mileage expenses in a single year? If you want to know, you might ask PVSD’s trustee Ms. Janet Kotylak who, including the high mileage bill, cost local taxpayers over $55,000 in pay and expenses in 2008-09. The board average that year was $24,670.
York University professor Thomas Klassen has written an interesting column that outlines what is certain to be a growing problem in the years ahead.
One wonders though, whether Klassen fully understands the basic math problem at hand: Can the young workers of Canada support an ever larger group of older folks who are no longer working?
The British Columbia Teachers’ Federation is set to go on strike … sort of. 87% of the province’s 41,000 teachers support the strike.
Notice anything peculiar about this history of teachers’ strikes in BC?

Newspaper ad revenues fall to 60-year low:
The decline in newspaper ad revenues to a 60-year low is amazing by itself, but the sharp decline in recent years is pretty stunning. Last year’s ad revenues of about $21 billion were less than half of the $46 billion spent just four years ago in 2007, and less than one-third of the $64 billion spent in 2000.
Won’t somebody please think of the chilllllldreeennnnnn.
