Reuters;

Polls indicating one in five voters in Sweden are likely to back a party with roots in the far-right fringe on Sept. 9 show that even seemingly successful political systems are vulnerable.

Several online surveys indicate the anti-immigration, anti-European Union Sweden Democrats could become the largest party, overtaking the Social Democrats, who have dominated politics for the last 100 years.

All I see are German flags.

Germany has been shaken by the worst far-right rioting in almost 30 years after police failed to stop thousands of neo-Nazis and far-right sympathizers chasing immigrants through the city of Chemnitz, hurling bottles and fireworks, giving Hitler salutes and chanting “foreigners out”.

The violence was triggered by the fatal stabbing of 35-year-old Daniel Hillig, who has a German mother and a Cuban father, after an altercation with a group of men on Saturday night. Police have arrested one man from Syria and one from Iraq on suspicion of manslaughter.

So those must be the “Nazis”.

Daily Caller;

Now Sveriges Television (SVT), the national public broadcaster, has released details of a new study that disproves the allegation from the political left that increases in criminality are not directly linked to mass migration.

In the report by the broadcasters’ investigative team, it was revealed that 58 percent of convicted rape or attempted rape suspects were born abroad. This figure doesn’t include those of foreign origin born in Sweden.

Diversity Is Our Strength

Shut up, he argued.

So. A few obvious problems. “I respect all Quebecers” is a pretty good answer to the question, “do you respect old-stock Quebecers.” Trudeau’s chosen alternative, “you’re a racist,” is going to upset a few people — not least in Quebec.

Calling questions about the surge in illegal border crossings “intolerant” is going to upset a lot more people.

More from Anthony Furey —  Last week, a senior federal official told Cornwall city council that Canada should expect to now be part of the unplanned migration phenomenon currently plaguing Europe.

In Imprimis:  Does Diversity Really Unite Us?

Our progressive politicians and opinion leaders proclaim their commitment to diversity almost daily, chanting the same refrain: “Diversity is our strength.” This is the gospel according to political correctness. But how does diversity strengthen us? Is it a force for unity and cohesiveness? Or is it a source of division and contention? Does it promote the common good and the friendship that rests at the heart of citizenship? Or does it promote racial and ethnic division and something resembling the tribalism that prevents most of the world from making constitutional government a success? When is the last time we heard anyone in Washington talk about the common good? We are used to hearing talk about the various stakeholders and group interests, but not much about what the nation has in common.

This should not be surprising. Greater diversity means inevitably that we have less in common, and the more we encourage diversity the less we honor the common good. Any honest and clear-sighted observer should be able to see that diversity is a solvent that dissolves the unity and cohesiveness of a nation—and we should not be deceived into believing that its proponents do not understand the full impact of their advocacy!

Theresa May’s Britain

Where the foxes caper unmolested, the government packs your school lunch, and here we go again;

The handcuffed driver, in his 20s and believed to be from the Midlands, was led away by armed cops after people were left injured in the “very sinister” smash at around 7.40am.

Witnesses described the terror of seeing the car “driving towards Parliament at speed” before hearing a “loud bang”.

The demographics of Germany have rapidly changed, largely due to mass migration, in many areas of the country like the city of Frankfurt where it was revealed last year that native Germans had become an ethnic minority for the first time.

In 2016, figures showed that the number of migration-background residents in Germany was even more pronounced in younger age groups, with 40 percent of under-fives having migrant origins

It’s probably nothing.

Cold, Canuck Hands

There is no joy in Goodale today…

The gun used to shoot 15 people on a busy Toronto street was likely obtained from a “gang-related source,” according to a person familiar with the case.

CP24 safety specialist Cam Woolley says a police source has told him the semi-automatic handgun used in the shooting is illegal in Canada and was originally from the United States. American authorities are helping track the gun’s exact origin.

But never fear, law-abiding gun owners. Every crime committed with a firearm is and will always be, your fault.
